Renault has just released this solitary photo of the revised Twingo supermini, which will be unveiled in full at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show in September. It’s all part of the PR thrust – because if you weren’t revved up about the facelifted Twingo, then this single picture is bound to get you very excited, right? Actually, the revised Renault Twingo looks pretty good… We agree.

MINI John Cooper Works Paceman: The hot MINI Countryman Coupe arrives

The new MINI Paceman has been given a range-topping model in the guise of the 140mph MINI John Cooper Works Paceman. Debuts at Detroit 2013. The Paceman JCW gets a convincing setup, with the same 1.6 litre 216bhp 1.6 litre as the Countryman JCW which delivers 207lb/ft of torque – and an extra 14lb/ft from an overboost – enough to send the Paceman JCW to 62mph in 6.9 seconds and on to 140mph (139mph in the auto, not that it matters as performance is the same otherwise).

GM CEO Akerson auctions 1958 Chevrolet Corvette for charity

General Motors CEO Dan Akerson is auctioning off his 1958 Regal turquoise Chevrolet Corvette for Habitat for Humanity Detroit. The proceeds will go to rebuild the Morningside Commons area of the lower east side of the city. Interested buyers can get a preview of the car during the Woodward Dream Cruise.
