 UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1957-58 MERCURY TURNPIKE CRUISER BULLET STYLE REAR VIEW MIRROR.  THIS MIRROR MAY ALSO HAVE APPLICATION TO EDSEL MODELS AND OTHER FORD MODELS OF THE LATE 50'S.  THE MIRROR IS DRIVER QUALITY ONLY WITH SHINY CHROME WHICH DOES HAVE PITTING AND SHOWS SOME WEAR , SEE PHOTOS. IT IS TIGHT ON THE BASE AND  AND SWIVELS CORRECTLY ON THE BASE  AS IT SHOULD. THE MIRROR IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE WITH NO BREAKS OR CRACKS AND JUST ONE OR TWO DARK SPOTS ON THE VERY OUTER EDGE WHICH ARE HARDLY NOTICEABLE. THIS MIRROR CAN BE MOUNTED ON EITHER THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE.  IT IS A GREAT MIRROR TO USE AS IS ON A DRIVER OR CRUISE CAR OR IS A GREAT CORE FOR REFINISHING.

The new combination of letters and numbers confirm this is a new additional petrol-electric hybrid to sit alongside the existing models such as the GS450h, RX450h and LS600h. It’s shorter than, but as wide as, the Lexus IS and is in the compact executive mould.

Driving licence charges set to fall

DRIVING LICENCE fees are to fall, with larger reductions for those who carry out online transactions, the Government has announced. The plans, which are to be consulted on, envisage drivers who apply online for their first driving licence would see the fee drop from £50 to £34. Drivers who renew their licence after 10 years would see the fee drop from £20 to £14.
