 UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1957-58 MERCURY TURNPIKE CRUISER BULLET STYLE REAR VIEW MIRROR.  THIS MIRROR MAY ALSO HAVE APPLICATION TO EDSEL MODELS AND OTHER FORD MODELS OF THE LATE 50'S.  THE MIRROR IS DRIVER QUALITY ONLY WITH SHINY CHROME WHICH DOES HAVE PITTING AND SHOWS SOME WEAR , SEE PHOTOS. IT IS TIGHT ON THE BASE AND  AND SWIVELS CORRECTLY ON THE BASE  AS IT SHOULD. THE MIRROR IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE WITH NO BREAKS OR CRACKS AND JUST ONE OR TWO DARK SPOTS ON THE VERY OUTER EDGE WHICH ARE HARDLY NOTICEABLE. Mercedes-Benz is set to make some extensive changes to its enduring military-grade G-class. So major is the overhaul, planned for 2017, that Mercedes-Benz insiders say it will, in effect, be an all-new vehicle. The big push is to increase the width of the G-class for greater stability.

College Exhibition: IAAD - 'My First Renault'

Transportation Design students at Istituto d'Arte Applicata e Design (IAAD) in Turin presented the results of a Renault-sponsored project with the theme 'My First Renault' in July. The students were given a fairly open brief to design a personal vision of a Renault vehicle of the near future. In addition to an exhibition in Turin, selected project work was presented at the Renault Technocentre to the directors of Renault Design.

Our friends at Acura are bringing a new car to the New York auto show next month. On Monday, they gave us a little tease--an overhead view of the car, albeit with many details hidden. What we do see in the shot is two door handles, but cut lines for a rear set of doors--possibly rear hinged?
