Peugeot RCZ Limited Edition at Frankfurt
Wed, 16 Sep 2009The Limited Edition Peugeot RCZ at Frankfurt The 200 number is in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Peugeot being established as a trading entity (a manufacturing company then – but not of cars, unless we’ve got our history in a muddle) and can be ordered at the show or on Peugeot’s web site. The Limited Edition RCZ will come in Pearlescent White with a carbon fibre double-bubble roof. A set of black 19″ alloys housed inside smoked-chrome rimmed wheel arches and a six speed manual ‘box mated to the 156bhp 1.6 litre petrol engine ar part of the package.
Renault Eolab Concept
Wed, 17 Sep 2014Renault has bucked the trend of rather uninspiring Paris Motor Show previews with the Eolab. This B-segment-sized car that has been designed to a brief that states it must return fuel economy of 2l/100km (118mpg US/141mpg UK), and that all of its major technical innovations must be production-feasible by the year 2020. The Eolab is actually two cars – the Eolab prototype, which the engineering team has signed off as capable of 1l/100km (235mpg US/282mpg UK), and the Eolab Concept, which was overseen by the design team.
Aston Martin One-77 Nurburgring Spy Video
Fri, 29 Oct 2010The Aston Martin One-77 gets a run at the Nurburgring - Video below For real car lovers the ‘Eco’ push in recent years has left us a little perplexed. Perplexed and confused as we try to come to terms with the joys of a turbo diesel (and there are joys, much to my surprise) and the loss of big V10 and V12 engines in production cars. Thankfully, there are still enough wealthy people in the world who don’t give a fig about the opinions of the eco-mentalists and who are inclined to buy the best that car makers can produce, regardless of eco-sensibilities. Which is why we can still glory in motoring delights like the Aston Martin One-77 even if its £1.2 million price tags is beyond the reach of most.
