This is a running 1957 283cubic in. Chevy v8 engine.It has a 2 barrel carb,new starter,points plugs,oil and filter and fuel pump.It starts and runs very good.There are no leaks.I've put a video of it running on YouTube under the heading "first start 283 engine".It has no generator with it and the running stand will not go with it.If sold,I will remount it on a smaller steel stand with wheels and strap it to a pallet for shipping.I do have access to a fork lift if needed.The block # is 3731548 and the intake manifold # is 3732690  GM no 1 .The left cylinder # is 3731554 , and the right cylinder head #is 3731554.This is not a Corvette engine, but as you can see in the pictures it has aluminum 7 fin Corvette valve covers on it.The # on the inside of both of them is 3726086.This will be sold as is and no warranty. The steering wheel in a 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible is surprisingly thin. It's oversized and humongously circular, but still startlingly narrow considering it directs a very bargelike Caddy. Oh, and the seats are fairly comfortable.

Frank Stephenson, Director of Ferrari-Maserati Concept Design and Development, is to move to Fiat to become Head of the Fiat, Lancia and Commercial Vehicle Styling Centre, based in Turin. Fiat Auto has seen a number of senior management changes within the last week, as part of an overall restructuring of the group. These include the appointment of Karl Heinz Kalbfell, Chief Operating Officer of Alfa Romeo, who is to become Chief Executive Officer of Maserati and replace Martin Leach who is now leaving the Company.
