1957 Chevy 283 FI long block and FI distributor body.  STD (3.875) bore, not frozen, turns freely. Block casting # 3731548 F 19 57. (June 19 1957).  Heads casting # 3731539 E 14 57 (May 14 1957) and F 3 57 (June 14 1957} This engine is applicable for 1957 passenger car FI, NOT Corvette. Correct 1957 FI only distributor body casting #1939555  PLEASE NOTE DISTRIBUTOR BODY HAS BEEN REPAIRED. See pictures. According to a noted FI distributor rebuilder in the Midwest this was a common problem.  Also all parts are available used, NOS, or repo to build this distributor.

Little by little we're getting a clearer picture of the next-generation Dodge Viper SRT10. During a conversation with Dodge boss Reid Bigland at the Los Angeles auto show, Bigland told me the redesigned Viper "will appeal to a broader segment of the market." The car is expected to debut in 2012 but is not likely to appear at the Detroit auto show, he says. Today's Viper is essentially a street-legal race car.
