It's too fancy to be called a trim line, but those who want a sportier Mulsanne sedan will be able check the box marked Mulliner Driving Specification. Stuttgart's fire department has taken delivery of two red-hot Cayennes with a difference: they're emergency vehicles which have been specially tweaked by Porsche's Training Centre for the city's firemen. The Stuttgart fire service claims that the hilly topography of the city meant it needed all-terrain emergency vehicles, and the project was given to local firm Porsche because the Cayenne served up the firemen's needs for something that can go anywhere fast. Nothing at all with them wanting to arrive in style or make neeh-naah noises in a Porsche.
VW releases sketch of U.S.-made sedan
Wed, 28 Oct 2009Volkswagen of America has released a sketch of its new mid-size sedan that will go on sale in the fall of 2011 as a 2012 model-year car. The factory currently being built by VW in Chattanooga, Tenn., will start producing cars in the spring of 2011. Sales of the mid-size sedan will be at least 100,000 units annually at full capacity.
