CANADIAN VERSION

PSD-53-30

Good morning, today we have a 1957 PONTIAC - PATHFINDER / STRATO-CHIEF / LAURENTIAN / SAFARI  / PARISIENNE - ORIGINAL FACTORY SHOP / SERVICE / MAINTENANCE MANUAL up for auction.

It seems that us Canucks must be dumber than our American counterparts - the Canadian version of GM manuals, are usually better illustrated and have a more detailed description than the US version.

The book is in a good used condition. The manual comes from a former GM dealership, and as such has been used by the mechanics in the dealership. It may have some dust and stains on the cover, and greasy finger prints on some pages

.
The book is large, and is approx 1 1/2 inches thick, and has approx 1000 pages. It contains all the information that a mechanic needs for the repair of these type of vehicles.

It cover the following chapters:

GENERAL INFORMATION
MAINTENANCE
LUBRICATION CHARTS
BRAKES
SUSPENSION - STEERING - WHEELS & TIRES
REAR AXLE
CLUTCH / DRIVE LINE MANUAL TRANSMISSION
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ENGINE - REPAIR & REBUILD
IGNITION SYSTEM
FUEL SYSTEM
COOLING SYSTEM
EXHAUST SYSTEM
CHARGING SYSTEM
STARTER SYSTEM
LIGHTS - WIRING
VENTILATING - HEATING  - RADIO
BODY
SOFT TRIM
INDEX

Even though this book is for a 1957 I am sure most information can be used for other year models as well, as there was not many changes between the years.

These books are invaluable if you are able to do your own repair work. A similar manual on a car I owned saved me over $800.00 on a repair that I could do myself, as opposed to having a dealer do the service work.

The book should pay for itself after only one use.

This book is a MUST HAVE if you are still driving one of these older model vehicles.

Unfortunately we are located in Canada, and delivery may take longer than if it was mailed from a US address - Delivery is usually 7 to 10 business days.

We have several similar manuals on auction this week and will gladly combine items for the lowest shipping cost.

Shipping & Payment

Shipping for this item is only $12.95 (USPS FLAT RATE BOX) for all areas of North America, except CANADA which is $18.95, with very secure packaging. This is the actual cost of postage from Canada to the USA since Canada Post raised their rates on Jan. 12

For payment we accept PAYPAL, .

THANK YOU FOR LOOKING

and

GOOD LUCK BIDDING

Toyoda says company is ‘grasping for salvation', fears big sales loss

Fri, 02 Oct 2009

Toyota Motor Corp. President Akio Toyoda said his money-losing automaker is “grasping for salvation” as it struggles to return to profit. The world's largest car company was once targeting annual sales of 10 million vehicles but now expects sales of 7.3 million this year, down from 8.97 million in 2008, Toyoda said today at a news conference.

The AutoWeek list: Top all-time convertibles for driving fun

Wed, 24 Jun 2009

With the first few days of summer behind us, we got to thinking about our favorite summer pastimes. Clearly they include barbecue grilling, eating ice cream and taking long drives with the top down (the cars', not ours). It's time to contemplate the top convertible rides of all time might be.
