This is an original reinforcement plate for the trunk latch or lock which was used exclusively on all 1957 Thunderbirds.  This plate fits inside the
trunk lid.  The trunk latch is secured to the underside of the trunk lid by the four screws which go thru the trunk lid and screw into this threaded plate. Perfect for replacing a missing, or damaged reinforcement plate. In results gathered by Hagerty Insurance, $5.8 million worth of cars, trucks and motorcycles were sold Thursday at auctions on the Monterey Peninsula. A total of 190 of 323 lots were sold, for a sell-through rate of 59 percent. The average selling price was $30,511.

Chrysler reveals SEMA projects

Chrysler teased a few of its SEMA vehicles in sketches earlier this month; now the company has unveiled its entire stand. Its display area at the Las Vegas Convention Center will show off 20 customized vehicles running the gamut from the Chrysler 300 to the Ram pickup and new Jeep Cherokee. The Ram Sun Chaser, in Vibrance Orange Blast and Brilliant Black, is based on the 1500 Quad Cab.
