This is the emergency brake foot pedal assembly from a 1958 Cadillac Fleetwood. This should fit all 1958 Cadillac's, except Brougham as well as possibly 1957, but I am not sure, so please verify this for yourself before bidding. This is in good used condition. It does have some surface rust and should be sand blasted and painted before re-use. It came from a non running parts car, so I have not seen it work, but I can not see that there could be anything wrong with it. I have been told that there were two different style of these used in 1957 & 1958, this one has the smaller release pedal on the left. I don't know if that makes any difference or if the two styles are interchangable, sorry. Sold As show, As Is. Please let me know if you would like any other info. Thanks

I am happy to ship oversea's. I have tons of other parts if you need anything else please ask. Canada still offers surface parcel international for oversea's delivery. Please note that every country's postal system is different and handles packages differently. If you are oversea's and choose surface parcel it can take 4 - 8 weeks to reach you. Delivery to the US generally takes 10 - 14 days. I ship things the cheapest way possible. If you would like or require faster service please let me know, I can ship Fed-Ex. They are faster, but they are more money than the post office. I have no control over how long the post office takes to deliver. The shipping prices I have listed for England and Australia are for surface mail, the cheapest way I can send it. Insurance and a tracking number are included. Air Mail is available at an additional cost, please ask.

I am parting a 1958 Cadillac, please e-mail me if you are looking for other parts. Thanks

BMW i3 caught testing in New York

Tue, 28 May 2013

BMW has been hyping its futuristic i lineup for years now, but the long lead time doesn't mean that the highly efficient, carbon-fiber-based vehicles are vaporware. Earlier this month, we test drove pre-production versions of the i3 and i8, and last week, Autoweek reader Frank Cogliano spied the former vehicle on the road. Cogliano caught this wrapped i3 near Stony Point, New York -- about 30 minutes from BMW's New Jersey headquarters.

Mazda to use regen brakes to boost fuel economy 5 to 10 percent

Mon, 09 Jul 2012

Mazda is adding a fuel-saving technology that harnesses wasted brake energy in the redesigned Mazda6 sedan due early next year. The approach uses regenerative braking to convert kinetic energy into electricity that is stored in a capacitor. The car later taps that capacitor to power the fuel pump, lights, audio, air conditioning and transmission and engine control systems.
