1958 Chevy Truck Governor Chevrolet Gmc 55 56 57 58 270 Six Cylinder on 2040-parts.com
Altamont, Illinois, US
The item offered in this auction is a used condition engine governor removed from a 1958 Chevrolet 1 1/2 ton flat bed truck. This truck had a straight six engine which was marked "GMC" on the valve cover. From research online, I believe this engine was a 270 cubic inch GMC engine. This truck sat for years in dry storage. This governor has not been exposed to weather. The throttle blades are not stuck and they move easily. These parts were removed from a 1958 Chevy truck, but it is probable that GM used the same parts on other years and models as well.
Thank you very much for looking at my item. Please check out my other auctions for more vintage GM items.
I will gladly combine items won on auction to save shipping costs. Most items ship on same day of receipt of payment. Wed, 04 Sep 2013Ford is resurrecting the name of renowned Italian design house Vignale in an attempt to bring its mainstream models up market in Europe. Of course this isn't Ford's first experience of using a defunct carrozzeria for its range-topping models – remember Ghia? The first of these new models will be the Mondeo, which will appear with Vignale badging, lashings of chrome and quilted leather in Frankfurt next week.
BMW-Toyota partnership may yield hybrid Z4, new Supra
Mon, 24 Mar 2014The BMW-Toyota sports-car lash-up has been reported on for a couple of years now, but new information from a report in the U.K.'s Autocar sheds more light on the future of the BMW Z4 and what this year's Toyota FT-1 concept will ultimately herald. Like the current Z4, its predecessor and the Z3 before it, as well as every generation of Supra, the new platform will feature a front-mounted gasoline engine. From there, things look to be diverging wildly as technology marches forward.
Range Rover Sport RS caught on video at Nurburgring
Fri, 27 Sep 2013Range Rover Sport RS caught on video at Nurburgring The new Range Rover Sport is only just starting to fin its way on toi the road after its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, but Land Rover are already planning a more potent version – the Range Rover Sport RS. The ‘RRSRS’ is Land Rover’s answer to cars like the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S and comes equipped with the same supercharged V8 as the new XJR, XFR-S and XKR-S, offering around 542bhp, which should give the already very able Range Rover Sport proper supercar performance – something in the region of 4.5 seconds 0-60mph seems likely. Despite the Range Rover Sport RS blatting round the Nurburgring with a fair degree of swirly camouflage, you can already see it’s getting a new front bumper with bigger intakes and a redesign to the back bumper too.
