I am selling 40 years of RARE Corvette Fuel Injection parts and am now getting to the "gems" of my collection.

I am selling a 58 Fuel Injection Engine package that I was saving for a car build - but am realizing I will never get to it with the 20 other projects I have going on.

Here is what is included in the package:

1.  Engine block - Casting 3737739 and date casted L 27 7 (December 27, 1957 for a 58 Corvette).   I purchased this engine from a gentleman who owned it for over 46 years and he stored it for a project.  It is stamped FI8CS - Which is January 8 assembly and CS configuration which is correct for a manual transmission 290hp Fuel Injection Corvette.  My machine shop cleaned the heck out of the engine to reveal the broaching and stamp - although the prior owner states it came out of a 58 Fuelie -and the broaching and stamping looks correct - I cannot guaranty the engine to be original - so please check out the pics and ask questions.  The engine is standard bore and has a ridge - so it will likely need to be bored to 0.030-0.040 over upon building.  The block includes the original main caps that came with the block. The block HAS BEEN CLEANED, MAGNAFLUXED AND PRESSURE TESTED AND IS 100% GUARANTEED REBUILDABLE!

2.  Set of 1958 3748770 X58 Corvette Fuel Injection heads.  The heads are a matching set and are dated J 8 7 (Oct 8, 57) and J 10 7 (Oct 10, 57).  The heads have been cleaned and magnafluxed and are 100% CRACK and PROBLEM FREE and GUARANTEED REBUILDABLE.  The heads appear to have some minor porting, however, nothing significant and they will both work with standard intake and exhaust gaskets.

3.  Standard Crankshaft and Forged Connecting rods - both have been checked for cracks and guaranteed rebuildable.

I am selling the engine with a rebuild guarantee.

We can also build your turnkey 58 engine as shown in the LAST picture.

THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE UNBUILT ENGINE PACKAGE ONLY.

Autoweek's guide to Chicago Auto Show hospitality

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Note:In preparation for the Chicago Auto Show, we asked Windy City hospitality industry insider Erik Nelson where to stay, drink and eat. Here's what he said: Where to eat: Publican: thepublicanrestaurant.com 837 W Fulton Market, Chicago, IL 60607 (312) 733-9555 This staple in the Fulton Market district of Chicago offers the “holy trinity” of pork, oysters and beer. Publican has a bustling feel of an upscale public house with communal tables and many sharable plates.

Small but safe: the Fiat 500

Fri, 31 Aug 2007

By Ben Pulman Motor Industry 31 August 2007 10:29 Fiat’s new baby, the 500, has just achieved a full five-star Euro NCAP rating for adult safety. The 500's score of 35 points puts it ahead of cars like the Mini and Renault Clio while the 500’s closest rival, the Renault Twingo, only achieved four stars in the latest tests. The 500’s 35 points bettered the Twingo’s 28, as did its 14 point to the Renault’s 11 for pedestrian safety (though both ratings are equivalent to two stars).
