Here is a 1959, 60 Chevy speedometer that we have reconditioned.  It has been cleaned, gears greased, movements lubricated with synthetic watch oil which is not affected by temperature nor does it get sticky with age, odometer is very nice and has been reset to 000000, the pointer repainted with the original fluorescent orange, and the back case cleaned and painted inside and out.  The pointer moves freely and responds smoothly when the speedometer was bench tested from zero thru 120 mph.  Both the lens and bezel have been cleaned and polished.  The front chrome trim ring is very, very nice.  The lens is clear, no cracks and the numbers are very sharp.
