Study: Distracted driving deemed socially unacceptable among young drivers

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

A new survey shows that young drivers think it’s socially unacceptable to drive distracted. This data is among the results of tiremaker Bridgestone Americas Inc.'s annual survey that polls more than 2,065 drivers aged 16 to 21 nationwide. Of those drivers, 80 percent said sending texts and emails is "unacceptable." But our distracted-driving epidemic isn't solved yet; 37 percent admit to still doing it.

Honda recalls 310,773 Pilots for seatbelt issue

Mon, 12 Sep 2011

Honda is recalling 310,773 copies of the Pilot SUV to fix a problem that could make the driver's or passenger's seatbelts unreliable in a crash. Honda says a manufacturing error with the belts could mean that stitching on some of the models is incomplete where the lap section is connected to the outer anchor, which could cause the belt components to disconnect in an accident. The recall affects 2009- to 2011-model-year Pilots.

CPP announces new Jensen Interceptor

Wed, 21 Sep 2011

Coventry Prototype Panels is on an impressive roll. Following heady investment from its Russian investor and a passionate drive from its founder and Managing Director, Brendan O'Toole, the coachbuilding specialist has expanded rapidly over the past two years, acquiring brands and forming partnerships. The latest chapter in the ongoing development of the company aims to resurrect not only the Jensen brand, but also its most famous creation: the Interceptor.  The new car, set to publicly unveiled in late 2012, has been penned by Coventry-based design consultancies and echoes the original built between 1966 and 1976.
