1959-1969 Pontiac Bonneville Grand Prix NOS RH front motor mount 540002

Product Description

NOS genuine GM front motor mount, RH (passenger) side, part number 540002.

The application is a little fuzzy on this one. My 1962 Pontiac parts book says this only fits 1961 - 1962 Pontiac Catalina, Ventura, Grand Prix, Star Chief and Bonneville. This part was superceded to part number 543476 in January 1963. That part number was an existing part number that was considered a "mounting kit" (i.e. probably had more than one piece in it), and was listed then in my 1966 Pontiac parts book as fitting 1959 - 1966 all full size models.

To add to the confusion, Steele lists this mount as also fitting 1961 - 1963 Tempest, as both LH and RH sides (the Pontiac book agrees that Tempests used identical ones both sides), and 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix with 400 V8 engine!

If I was looking to buy this, I'd be buying it if I had a 1961 or 1962. The 1962 book lists different part numbers for the 1959-1960 mounts (those not in the "kit"), and this part number was discontinued in January 1963 - 6 months past the 1962 model year run.

It is definitely brand new, never installed, and I personally removed it from a Pontiac dealership in 1983 - been sitting on my shelf in a box ever since.

Shipping - Payment

A few words to make things easier.

1. Combined shipping for multiple auctions is always available, but when the auction is over, you will have to wait until I revise things in my eBay "paperwork" to create just one invoice for all your purchased auctions.  And I have to do the revising BEFORE you pay.  If auctions are paid separately (i.e. before you receive my invoice combining items), eBay will no longer then let me combine them on one invoice.  AND, eBay then automatically charges you separate shipping charges for each item, which is not refunded.  Again, this is eBay's set-up.  Combining auctions benefits you by saving you shipping and handling fees.

2. Payment is expected within 3 days.  After 8 days, I will file with eBay to have my auction fees refunded.  If there is a problem with 3 days, please let me know, as I am not unreasonable, and I know that things happen.  Just be aware that having been on eBay full-time for several years has already afforded me an opportunity to hear a lot of "creative" stories.

Thanks for your bid.

Suzuki Swift gets a tweak for 2013

Fri, 12 Jul 2013

Suzuki Swift (pictured) gets a tweak for 2013 Suzuki has had a couple of bites at PR for the updated Swift already this week, with news that the Swift can now be had with a 4WD option and that the Swift Sport can be ordered with five doors. So even though it seems a bit back to front to trumpet two new versions of the Swift before revealing the overall tweaks to the range, it’s probably got Suzuki three times the coverage they’d have got if they’d just announced the 2013 tweaks included the 5-door Sport and 4WD option. Who can blame them?
