2012 Ford Focus ST - Production-ready by Frankfurt in September The 2011 Ford Focus is now starting to hit the roads in earnest (especially on the roads near Cars UK Towers), but what we’re really looking forward to is a new Focus with a bit more get up and go. We’re hoping Ford are still going ahead with plans for the Focus RS Hybrid by 2013, but what we do know for sure  is that we will be seeing a warmer Focus in the 2012 Focus ST before the end of the year. Koenigsegg can take the P1, LaFerrari & Huayra with the Agera R

Koenigsegg believe that the Agera R has more than the measure of the new toys at Geneva – LaFerrari and McLaren P1 – and Pagani’s Huayra lap at Top Gear was a farce. But a car that was also at Geneva was the Koenigsegg Hundra, Koenigsegg’s one-off special to celebrate 100 Koenigseggs built since Christian von Koenigsegg started bolted his immense supercars together in a shed in Sweden a decade ago. So we thought it would be interesting to chat to Koenigsegg people – including Koenigsegg’s UK dealer Supervettura –  and get their thoughts on the new batch of supercars that could perhaps take some gloss off the offerings from Koenigsegg.

Jaguar Land Rover leads UK universities to develop virtual simulation tech

Jaguar Land Rover is to lead four UK universities in a £10m ($15.5m) government scheme to develop virtual simulation technologies and processes to help improve and accelerate the car design process. The carmaker will be leading project teams from the universities of Cambridge, Loughborough, Leeds and Warwick in the Program for Simulation Innovation (PSI), developed to improve the potential of the UK virtual simulation industry. It is hoped that through its results design quality and capability can be improved through the simulation of sights, sounds and smells.
