Pair of 1959 Cadillac Single Bullets & Backing Plates Under Headlights, New

Finally what so so many fastidious 1959 Cadillac owners have been waiting for - a new 1959 Cadillac Single Bullet & Backing plate located under the headlight bucket.

These 59 Single bullet and backing plate assemblies have new bullets, new backing plates, new clips and all beautifully anodised just like they were when new.  The backing panels on these have been powder coated the correct satin black with an anodised cross.

As most now know, you cannot restore a grille to look new no matter the condition.  Aluminium will always pit and corrode with age.  Restored grilles are always over polished leaving rounded edges and the aluminium still shows signs of pitting and when put back together they always rattle and become loose.

Also available separate from this auction are the front corner grilles which sit on the front bumper ends, the single bullet, rear grille and the main centre grille.  THIS LISTING IS FOR A PAIR OF SINGLE BULLET WITH BACKING PLATE LOCATED UNDERNEATH THE HEADLIGHT BUCKET.

At this stage the following items require a core;

Rear grilles (Eldorado / Fleetwood / Series 62) require all 3 backing plates, Front corner grilles require the 4 steel backing plates and the 2 stainless end pieces.

Shipping & packaging $18 worldwide.

Sun, 17 Jun 2012

In what seems a strange move, MBUSU – Mercedes in the States – is dropping the SLS AMG from its range in favour of the SLS AMG GT. When the Mercedes SLS AMG GT was revealed last week we were sure it was a new addition to the SLS range; a more edgy SLS for those wanting a bit more hard-core from their SLS and willing to dig a bit deeper to have one. And it is.

2015 Subaru Outback debuts in New York

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

The 2015 Subaru Outback took a bow at the New York auto show on Thursday. It gets a new front fascia with a hexagonal grille, a standard CVT -- not sure how we feel about that -- and the same 9 or so inches of ground clearance. It'll be in dealerships this summer.
