Here's the story on this. I had, for many years, a custom 59 Elcamino. I bought quite a few extra parts to have as backup, in case it ever got hit or damaged. Luckily, it never did. Now that I sold it, the new owner didn't want backup parts like I did. So I'm offering them here. These were bought at a swap meet. Make sure they're the right ones before buying them. Should be all the parts for a 59 tailgate on an Elcamino, station wagon, or sedan delivery. I never used them. In big parts, I have both front fenders (inner and outer), both doors, both bumpers, both new full lower quarter skins, tailgate, front and rear glass, vent windows, and then a ton of small parts. Need something? Ask. Will consider a package deal. More under my friend's name IDONTNEEDITANYMOREOK or BUYMYCRAPPLEEEZ

Lotus Evora 414E Range Extender EV moves forward

Sun, 28 Oct 2012

The Lotus Evora 414E – a Lotus Engineering range extender hybrid project – is still moving ahead with dynamic and durability testing now underway. On the surface the Evora 414E looked like every other Evora, but under the skin sat the first version of a Lotus range-extender platform with a pair of electric motors and a small, 3-cylinder range-extender engine promising impressive performance and economy. Despite the reveal of the 414E at Geneva in 2010, there’s not been a huge amount of news on Lotus pushing forward with the project, or at least not until we got the Infiniti Emerg-E Concept at Geneva this year that turned out to be underpinned by the Evora 414E platform.

What's the latest trend for superexpensive cars? Making them look dull. The matte paint once reserved for cars headed for crash testing is showing up on the highest of high-end models.

Renault Ondelios concept (2008): first photos and video

Wed, 10 Sep 2008

By Nick Eaton First Official Pictures 10 September 2008 15:30 The Ondelios has been designed to provide a serene travelling experience, says Renault. The body has been designed to look like a singular smooth shape, so the glass appears to merge seamlessly with the body panels. Renault also claims the Ondelios's shape enhances the car’s other raison-d’etre: streamlined efficiency (and hence eco-friendliness). Those huge 23-inch aluminium alloys are designed to prevent turbulence and the car has been engineered to be a slippery as possible, boasting a drag coefficient of 0.29Cd.
