Here's the story on this. I had, for many years, a custom 59 Elcamino. I bought quite a few extra parts to have as backup, in case it ever got hit or damaged. Luckily, it never did. Now that I sold it, the new owner didn't want backup parts like I did. So I'm offering them here. These were never installed on mine. Includes both new handles, clips, and round plastic protector things. Eustacians? In big parts, I have both front fenders (inner and outer), both doors, both bumpers, both new full lower quarter skins, tailgate, front and rear glass, vent windows, and then a ton of small parts. Need something before I list it? Ask. Will consider a package deal. READ ALL SHIPPING AND PAYMENT RULES BEFORE BIDDING. MAILED PAYMENT OK IF YOU CANT OR WONT PAYPAL. NON PAYING BIDDERS REPORTED.

Tata is leading JLR bidder

Thu, 03 Jan 2008

By Ben Pulman Motor Industry 03 January 2008 13:16 Ford looks set to sell Jaguar/Land Rover (JLR) to Tata. In a statement to JLR workers today, Ford of Europe chairman Lewis Booth said: ‘Ford is committed to focused negotiations at a more detailed level with Tata Motors concerning the potential sale of the combined Jaguar Land Rover business.’ This is the first time that Ford has publicly revealed the identity of any bidder for JLR.   JLR has been up for sale since June 2007, and other potential bidders include rival Indian vehicle maker Mahindra Group and private finance group One Equity fronted by former Ford CEO Jac Nasser. Tata itself already owns a few famous names, including Tetley Tea and Corus (formerly British Steel).

Bristol Cars sold to China. Possibly.

Fri, 01 Apr 2011

Bristol Cars - is it a Chinese Takeaway Earlier this month we reported the sad demise of the quirky and eccentric supercar maker that is Bristol cars, forced in to administration through a shortage of equally eccentric millionaires to buy their creations from another time. The good news is that they still look like a viable entity if they’re properly marketed, so we didn’t expect it to be too long before a buyer popped up and grabbed the Bristol Cars name, its Kensington showrooms and the handful of staff left. So we weren’t surprised to get an email this morning from China telling us the press there are reporting that the Xinjiang No1 Tractor Company – a State-owned maker of tractors (you’d never have guessed) – had snapped up Bristol Cars from the administrators.

Aston Martin sale imminent

Thu, 29 Nov 2012

Despite denying they were in talks to sell a stake, Aston Martin has confirmed it is in talks for a ‘Capital Increase’ with a deal announcement seemingly imminent. We’ve been banging on for more than a year that Aston Martin needs a new investor if it has any chance of remaining credible and viable. And now it looks like that ‘Big Brother’ for Aston Martin is imminent.
