Kia Picanto (2011): more pics and spec
Tue, 25 Jan 2011Kia has published some engine details and new photos of its replacement 2011 Picanto, which goes on sale in late spring. The new Picanto will be unveiled at the 2011 Geneva motor show on 1 March. It's a bigger model than the outgoing city car - the longer wheelbase liberating a quarter more boot space to answer criticisms of a cramped luggage bay.
CAR Magazine South Africa launches ‘Design a Car’ competition
Tue, 17 Jul 2012CAR Magazine in South Africa has announced its ‘Design a Car' competition, in an attempt to encourage aspiring South African designers. Entrants are asked to submit designs for a compact, environmentally friendly four-seater Jaguar that stays true to the brand's premium/sporty image for market introduction in 2015. Luma, the digital content creation company, will turn the winning design into a three-dimensional animation and it will also feature in a short promo film with a vehicle designed by CAR's own staff.

Case in point: Audi AG CEO Rupert Stadler's appearance as a keynote speaker Thursday morning at the Las Vegas Hilton. Actor James Cromwell, from I, Robot movie fame, introduced Stadler, who rolled onto stage in an e-tron Spyder concept car.
