Up for sale is a group of NOS factory Mopar seat covers as found on 1959 Dodge Coronet Sierra Station Wagons.

This is an incomplete set, with duplicates. I purchased these as a lot to harvest the factory heat-seamed vinyl inserts for another 1959 Dodge project that ultimately went a different direction.

There are five pieces for sale here; please look at the pictures carefully. I don't know exactly which cover goes where... four of the covers do not have a front and back, while the fifth cover has a front and a back to it.  This fifth cover is unraveling a bit.  All the covers are punched for the chrome inserts that the higher-trim level Sierra wagon received.

Part numbers handwritten on the backs of the covers are 1802175, 1802173 (2pcs), 1802180, and 1956341.

Other than the one unraveling cover, these are in very good NOS condition.  These covers could be used or re-purposed in a variety of different ways on '57-'59 Chrysler vehicles - 2-door, 4-door, wagon, etc.

Please look at my 16 STRAIGHT YEARS of 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK and BUY WITH CONFIDENCE

Is the V8 a dying breed? Auto engineers expect more turbos, smaller engines

Tue, 21 Apr 2009

The V8 engine, a symbol of power and prestige for more than a century, is looking more and more like an endangered species. A panel of powertrain experts speaking on Tuesday at the 2009 SAE World Congress painted a bleak picture for big engines in this era of tightening emission standards and volatile fuel prices. But smaller engines will not mean drivers have to give up performance.

Volkswagen Scirocco R revealed

Wed, 20 May 2009

The new Volkswagen Scirocco R revealed today Despite dropping the 6 cylinder engines previously used, this is the hottest and fastest Scirocco VW has ever made. Power comes from a 2.0 litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine, offering 265bhp. But there is no four-wheel drive on this Scirocco, instead VW has opted to offer the car as a front-wheel drive only, but benefiting from XDS (an electronic cross-axle traction control system).
