1959 Dodge Truck Power Giant Mopar Project on 2040-parts.com
Portland, Oregon, US
For your consideration is my 1959 Dodge. It started life with a 6cyl 2wd and now has a 440, 727 auto and has 3/4 ton 4x4 running gear. The truck is solid with minimal surface rust, minor dings and small dents. It comes with the newer style stepside bed that has been cleaned and primered brown. Does need attention for paint but solid and workable. No wood, hardware or rails included. The driver window is in tact but cracked, passenger and all other glass is in good shape.
The motor turns over by hand but I have not done anything to it. Previous owner said ran strong til he overheated it in 99 and spun a main bearing. Engine controls have been updated to electronic ignition and newer voltage regulator. The 727 has less than 5k as per his claim. Newly installed dual exhaust (14 yrs ago!). Free and clear title but tags expired in 2000.
I have bought all new window and door seals which are included as well as the firewall insulation. I have bought many trinkets including glove box liner, door, correct perfect grill, 2 sets of aluminum wheels, turn signals/bezels and other stuff I have forgotten. I also have the original headliner and door panels for templates. I will even throw in a decent 750# engine stand.
Feel free to ask questions as I can text pics to you or come by and check it out. I can help load or take it to my shop to load with forklift. I will assist any way I can but shipping arraignments are the responsibility of the buyer.
Whatever I can't stuff in the cab and strap to the frame, I will package and ship separately on my dime. When done, this will make someone a real nice truck. The reserve is less than I have invested in this rare solid truck so I hope you win and enjoy your new Power Giant!

Best of British: top 10 cars built in Britain during 2013
Mon, 27 Jan 2014British car factories are booming, building more than 1.5 million cars during 2013. This is not only great news for the manufacturers, but it’s great news for the country too – because the vast majority of these cars were exported abroad. This brings money into the UK, strengthens our economy and also maintains jobs for hundreds of thousands of British workers – a real win-win story.
Fabulous Fords go on forever at California show
Mon, 20 Apr 2009While the Mustang got its own celebration two days earlier on the other side of the country at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama, on Sunday, the annual Fabulous Fords Forever show in California honored all Blue Oval creations of the last 100 years. From the Model T to the new Mustang, there were hundreds of Ford cars and a few trucks spread out across the parking lot of Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park. This was the 24th running of the show, which was started by Ford and a herd of Mustang clubs as a kickoff to the car-show season.
Jaguar XKR (2011MY) Review & Road Test
Fri, 12 Nov 2010A slightly mud spattered Jaguar XKR after yet another 'Brisk' country run If you choose to think about the history of Jaguar, there’s a fair chance you’ll end up thinking about the two cars that have come to epitomise all that Jaguar stood for – the 1961 Jaguar E-Type and the 1968 Jaguar XJ. If you delve further in to the mush that passes for a brain you’ll probably manage to drag up remnants of automotive lust for cars like the XK120 and XK140 or the D-Type or Jaguar SS or maybe even the Jaguar MK II. And those memories will probably reinforce in your mind that Jaguar are makers of classy, swift and desirable sports cars and sports saloons.
