First of all, there are so many parts to the engines I put in my title that inter exchange. I DID NOT RESEARCH BOTH ENGINES TO VERIFY THE PARTS I HAVE LISTED WILL FIT THEM. You will need to do your research to be certain they are the same. If I do the research, the parts will cost you more money. The info can sometimes be hard to find. I seen many listings here on ebay with both engines listed with the parts but without personally checking, I do not know any of that for a fact. All I can tell you for sure is mine was removed from a 1979 Lincoln Mark V. I have taken a pic of the info on the valve cover, that should tell you anything you need to know to be sure the parts are the same as yours and will fit your engine. I also took 2 pics of the motor as soon as I opened it, no, it had not been cleaned in any way, that's the way the inside of the motor looked, excellent. If you have rebuilt as many motors as I have rebuilt, that's about as far as you would need to go to know the engine has been well taken care of. The top part is where your going to find out what the bottom is going to look like. The car had 62,000 original miles. I still checked and mic the parts that are important to be sure they are not worn beyond use. I also pay close attention to each rod, cam and main bearings as I remove them and this engine was still in excellent condition. No unusual or abnormal wear on any bearings. Looking at those 2 pics, one could almost question the odometer reading of 62,000 miles. That's the cleanest engine I've ever opened that was as old as this one. Here's the specs on the cam, I don't see any reason for me to mic any of the other parts. I can still see all the oil grooves, the lifters are still built up, no bent pushrods, no reason any of these parts wouldn't work just fine. By the way, I have not cleaned anything, all I done was wiped the oil off of them to make sure I didn't see any excessive wear. Camshaft main journals from back to front..2.020...2.040..2.055...2.075...2.125...perfectly tapered, can't get much better than that with a brand new one. Low side of the lobes...1.435 to 1.450...high side....1.555 to 1.675. I don't even have to check to see if that falls within the limit, if these were worn, they wouldn't be worn so even as to all the lobes or journals below limits. I put these together for anyone who needs the top side of their motor. I can get more than this by separating these parts, it's always great to have the camshaft with all the parts that was original to it but if no one needs the whole set up, I'll just separate it and sell them that way. I will be listing all the parts to this motor over the next 2 weeks, so if you need other parts email me or check back later. I do ship international, email me for a quote or purchase the item and request your total.

BMW's Vision EfficientDynamics concept bound for Frankfurt

Sat, 29 Aug 2009

BMW has revealed a radical vision for its future performance-oriented models in a spectacularly styled concept car whose combination of M3-rivaling acceleration and Mini Cooper-beating fuel economy will likely make it one of the stars of this year's Frankfurt motor show. Called Vision EfficientDynamics, the one-off coupe is a mobile showcase for lightweight construction and plug-in hybrid drive technology, while featuring a variety of futuristic styling, packaging, aerodynamic, lighting and interior ideas under development at the German carmaker's heavily cloaked FIZ development center in Munich. Many of the concepts are planned for use on upcoming BMW road cars, including an exciting Z10 EfficientDynamics range-topping model due by 2015.

Volvo creates Inflatable Child Seat

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Volvo is a brand famously associated with safety, so let’s hope its latest effort doesn’t turn out to be a load of hot air: the Swedish brand has come up with a concept for an inflatable children’s car seat. Called the Volvo Inflatable Child Seat Concept, this does exactly what it says on the tin – it’s a child seat that instead of being made of rigid material can be deflated and folded away for easy carriage when not required. On Bing: see pictures of the Volvo Inflatable Child Seat Concept Find out how much a used Volvo costs on Auto Trader Noting that “children’s car seats are historically bulky, hard to move and tedious to mount,” Volvo says its new rear-facing inflatable alternative weighs just 5kg – half the weight of an equivalent conventional model.
