BIDDING ON A MID 1960's GM POWER ANTENNA THAT WAS TESTED AND WORKS!

NOT SURE WHAT CAR IT CAME FROM ...CAME WITH A 1965 PONTIAC CATALINA 2+2 THAT I PURCHASED BACK IN 2007 ...BUT ACCORDING TO THE DATE , I DO NOT THINK IT ORIGINAL TO THE CAR.

DATED MAR 20 1964 ...as shown in picture.

THE MAST IS BROKEN ABOUT HALF WAY, BUT THE MOTOR WORKS BOTH UP & DOWN.  

I TESTED THIS WHILE TAKING PICTURES... I USED THE BOTTOM BOLT AS THE GROUND ...THE RED WIRE IS TO MAKE IT GO UP ...AN THE GREEN WIRE IS FOR THE ANTENNA TO GO DOWN. 

...LAST PICTURE SHOWN THE BROKEN ANTENNA FULLY EXTENDED.

SELLING THIS AS A PARTS POWER ANTENNA SINCE THE MAST NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ...BUT IT STILL WORKS.

VW Touareg BlueMotion hits the UK

Volkswagen has announced the VW Touareg BlueMotion for the UK Offering improved economy and lower emissions, the Touareg BlueMotion manages to drop in to a lower Co2 band by emitting 219g/km (a reduction from 244g/km on the V6 TDi) and it delivers 34mpg as opposed to 30.4mpg on the V7 TDi. These improvements have been achieved by the usual ECU tweaking, low rolling resistance tyres, some aerodynamic tweaks and a lower ride height (exactly the same sort of stuff that Ford has done on the EConetic range). And the penalty for the lower emissions and better economy is very slight, with the Touareg BlueMotion still managing the 0-60mph in 8.5 seconds and a top speed of  126mph.

Chevrolet to market diesel-powered Cruze in U.S., report says

General Motors has decided to sell a diesel version of the Chevrolet Cruze compact in the United States, the Associated Press reported today, citing two people familiar with the plans. Sources told the AP the car would get about 50 miles per gallon on the highway and help GM address stricter government fuel economy standards. The diesel-powered Cruze is at least two years from U.S.
