Up for auction is a spare tire hold down hook and retainer wing nut removed from a 1963 Falcon Futura. The parts are original, so there are some flaws, please realize this is the case with 48 year old parts. Please look at the pictures carefully before bidding to make sure they will meet your needs. Please ask any questions before auction ends. Feel free to ask questions and I will answer as soon as I can.  I am parting out my Futura that I had plans of working on, but after a detailed look the car is rusted to badly from the firewall back.

McLaren Automotive launches bespoke operations division

McLaren Automotive has today announced the launch of the McLaren Special Operations division, which will be responsible for the delivery of bespoke projects for McLaren sports cars. The division celebrated its launch with an example of the new MP4-12C, finished in Volcano Orange with a number of bespoke carbon upgrades, at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Bespoke designs featuring on the vehicle are diamond cut finish wheels with gloss black inners, MP4-12C branded carbon sill panels, a carbon steering wheel, front wheelarch louvres and carbon fiber engine cover vents, rear deck vent and wiper system cover.

A LOLLIPOP LADY who dived in front of an out-of-control car to push a group of children to safety has been honoured at an awards ceremony to celebrate the country's unsung heroes. Karin Williams, from Rhoose in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, won the prize at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, but the mother-of-one insisted: "I'm not brave." The 50-year-old was given the trophy by actor and comedian James Corden at a star-studded event in central London. CCS receives $2.5m GM Grant

General Motors is set to strengthen its longstanding commitment to Detroit's College for Creative Studies with a $2.5 million donation, a contribution that will help the university undertake a $145 million redevelopment of its A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education. This is not the first time that GM has given to CCS – the ongoing relationship between them sees members of the GM design team teach and mentor students, while CCS also receives loans of industrial equipment from its Detroit neighbor.
