Opel takes Adam racing (2012) first official pictures

Vauxhall/Opel has built its new Adam city car around the idea of chic street-cred, but it's now given the Mini Cooper rival a healthy dose of motorsport pedigree as well. An international rally series is being readied for the Adam, where competitors will use a race-prepped version of the city car. A well-specced Adam...with a difference The regular Adam is pitched as a blank canvas for buyers to individualise, with 22 different alloy wheel options, 12 dashboard colour choices, and the option of a Rolls-Royce style fairy-lit roof lining.

Miko's high performance material with an ecological edge

Italian company Miko specializes in the development and production of Dinamica, a high quality ecological microfiber that can be used for anything from car door panels or upholstery to fashion accessories. The faux suede material is produced from a combination of recycled polyester and polyurethane fibers, and is also 100 percent recyclable at the end of its lifecycle. BMW gets new North America boss

Veteran BMW executive Ludwig Willisch, who has led sales operations in Europe and Japan, will take over as CEO of BMW of North America on Oct. 1. The 54-year-old German will replace Jim O'Donnell, 61, who is retiring.
