1960-1974 VW Karmann Ghia left half grill inlet vent OEM vintage Volkswagen part number 141-853-651 A. Overall very good condition with no bends or significant dings. Slight pitting. One minor ding that could be easily fixed. This could be polished to be a very good to excellent piece. It is my understanding that it fits the years '60, 1961, 61, 1962, 62, 1963, 63, 1964, 64, 1965, 65, 1966, 66, 1967, 67, 1968, 68, 1969, 69, 1970, 70, 1971, 71, 1972, 72, 1973, 73, 1974, and 74. Dave McLellan to be a featured guest at the Corvette Funfest
Tue, 18 Aug 2009Dave McLellan, who presided as chief engineer for the fourth-generation Chevrolet Corvette, will be a featured guest at parts-seller Mid America Motorworks' annual Corvette Funfest in September. The Funfest brings together 14,000 Corvettes and 45,000 Corvette enthusiasts over a three-day weekend at Mid America's campus in Effingham, Ill. The event includes seminars, entertainment and--of course--plenty of Corvettes.
Barn Find Lagonda Could Fetch Six Figures at Restoration Show Sale
Tue, 25 Mar 2014IT might not look much, but this extremely rare 1939 Lagonda V12 Hooper two door saloon that has covered just 40,000 miles from new and, crucially, has been estimated to fetch between £75,000 and £100,000 at the forthcoming Restoration Show Sale, at the NEC, Birmingham on April 12th. The unique car was built for the wife of the owner of Hooper Bodies Ltd, the most noted coach builder of the era, and first registered in August 1939. With the onset of war just weeks later the car was placed into storage before being sold to a Mr Harry Ellard in 1952.
Chevrolet Volt chief leaves GM
Wed, 30 Sep 2009A key driver of the Chevrolet Volt project is defecting to start his own consulting firm, according to published reports. Volt chief Bob Kruse, 50, has left General Motors. He's been replaced by GM engineering veteran Micky Bly, who has also been involved with development of the Volt.
