For sale is a trunk (deck) lid off a 1960 AMC Ambassador 4 door sedan. My parts book shows this fits other models as well, possibly Model 10 20 80 rambler super 6 classic and rebel. Trunk lid is in good solid condition. Does have some surface rust that is shown in the pics and a little bit of pitting under the latch area. No rust through of exterior metal. All letters are still attached as well as the original antenna. Antenna is pitted pretty bad. Would like item picked up but will consider shipping. Contact me for a shipping quote, Ebay has super high quotes for larger items. Many other parts availabel for this car including some NOS parts. Feel free to ask questions.

Thanks,

Kevin

The Antenna is no longer on the trunk lid and is not included in the sale.

Mercedes E 63 AMG S: UK price from £83,740

Mon, 13 May 2013

The E63 AMG S is the extreme version of what is already an extreme car in the E63, with a power boost that takes it from 549bhp to 577bhp – and throws in an extra 60lb/ft of torque for good measure too – and promises real extreme performance. The problem is, getting that power down to the road. In left hand drive markets that’s solved by simply offering the Mercedes 4WD option – 4MATIC – which does a much better job of transferring power to the road than the regular RWD layout.

Mercedes digs at Jaguar for EATING its Chicken Just a few days ago we had a great video from Jaguar poking fun at Mercedes advert for Magic Body Control that featured chickens demonstrating how MBC worked. Jaguar’s response was to mimic Mercedes opening to the video but following it up with Jaguar’s big cat eating Mercedes chickens. It was a great response and we hoped it would signal a nice bit of back and forth between the Germans and the British as they each tried to outdo the other.

Ford creates ‘driver workload estimator’ to reduce driver distraction

Tue, 10 Jul 2012

Ford researchers have created a ‘driver workload estimator’ help reduce driver distraction by filtering infotainment and communication distractions. Researchers at Ford are working on a system that would use information submitted by the vehicle and the driver's body to prioritize what information can be displayed and at what time. With the ever-increasing demand for advanced infotainment systems, the chance of driver distraction has also risen as more displays and controls are integrated into the latest models.
