1960 IMPALA HUBCAPS

THESE  CAPS ARE GETTING HARDER TO FIND AND REALLY COOL TO DISPLAY IF YOU ARE RUNNING CUSTOM WHEELS.  2 CAPS ARE INCLUDED.  PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE THE MORE DIFFICULT TO FIND OEM CAPS MEANT FOR ORIGINAL CHEVROLET WHEELS THAT ACCEPTED THE SMOOTH FLANGE STYLE LIP.

ON TO THE DESCRIPTION.  WE TRY TO BE AS HONEST AND COMPLETE IN OUR DESCRIPTIONS AS WE CAN.  PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION COMPLETELY AND USE THE ZOOM FEATURE BEFORE BIDDING.

THESE ARE UNRESTORED CAPS IN FAIRLY GOOD, OVERALL ORIGINAL CONDITION.  GOOD CAPS FOR THE VEHICLE MISSING THEM.   THEY SUFFER FROM SOME  TYPICAL WEAR INCLUDING PAINT WEAR,  LITTLE DINGS, (BB TO FINGERPRINT) AND SOME SCRATCHES ON EACH.   TYPICAL OF CAPS FROM THIS ERA.  ONE CAP HAS A COUPLE OF LARGER DINGS ALONG THE CENTER & LOTS OF LITTLE DINGS ALONG THE EDGE.  IMPROPER INSTALLATION ALONG THE WAY THE LIKELY CULPRIT. THE OTHER CAP HAS SOME WEIRD SCRATCH LIKE DINGS FROM THE INSIDE AT THE CENTER.   ANYWAY, THEY ARE NOT PERFECT FRIENDS, NONE OF THESE OLD CAPS ARE.  HOWEVER THEY ARE DECENT UNRESTORED EXAMPLES THAT ARE PRICED TO SELL.  HARD CAPS TO FIND AND VERY REASONABLY PRICED.  COOL WALL ART TOO.

COOL EXAMPLES FROM A DAY GONE BY.  ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH 5 AS THE HIGH, BASED ON AGE, RARITY & CONDITION I RATE THE 2 OF THESE CAPS A 3 MINUS OVERALL.   PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES CLOSELY TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE WHAT YOU WANT AND NEED BEFORE BIDDING.  THANKS!

ONE OTHER COMMENT, WE SPENT A SEVERAL WEEKENDS AT SOME OF THE LARGEST SWAP MEETS IN THE MIDWEST OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS.  HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND NONE OF THESE.  TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THEM.  WE ALSO ATTEND BARRETT JACKSON AND MECUM AUCTIONS REGULARLY. THE POINT IS THIS.  ONLY THE FINEST AND ULTRA EXPENSIVE CARS SEEM TO HAVE PERFECT TRIM.

I try to be honest about what I sell.  Almost all of these old hubcaps have imperfections.  Unless you are willing to spend hundreds for a set the best you can do are look for those in decent shape which these are.

WE SHIP ALL OVER THE WORLD AND COMBINE SHIPPING!

These old car parts are becoming more and more scarce.  After 10 years of selling over a 7000 items we've come to this conclusion.   If we can't sell the parts for a reasonable price, we're going to warehouse them. This is especially true of the nice parts and more unusual parts.  All they can do is go up in value.  Our point is this.  We've got the space and the means to collect and store what we sell.  Having said that don't be surprised if we run an item only once or twice and if it doesn't sell it doesn't show back up.  Please don't misunderstand us.  We want and do appreciate your business.  It just doesn't make sense to us to spend time and money relisting items over and over when almost all of these parts have only one way to go in the future.  UP.

PLEASE NOTE:  DUE TO SEVERAL NON-PAYERS WE HAVE ADDED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT MEANT FOR THOSE TYPE OF BIDDERS.  WHILE THE VAST MAJORITY OF BUYERS PAY FOR WHAT THEY BID ON, WE HAVE RECENTLY SEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN UNPAID ITEMS.  SO>>>IF YOU PLAN ON BIDDING PLEASE PLAN ON PAYING.   THANKS.  HAPPY BIDDING.

The Bloodhound SuperSonic Car is a rocket-powered land missle

Tue, 06 Nov 2012

The ambitious British Bloodhound SuperSonic Car project took a significant step forward in the quest to raise the world's land speed record to 1,000 mph when the machine's main power unit—a spectacularly forceful rocket engine—was successfully test fired Oct. 3. The rocket is believed to be the largest designed in Europe in decades, and its 185-decible noise level is said to be many times louder than a Boeing 747 during takeoff.
