This is an original Land Rover sales brochure.  It is 8 1/2” X 11” & opens to 17” X 9 22” & is in mint condition.  It is not dated but the license plate on the Land Rover on the cover is 1959.   It shows 5 large pictures of the different Land Rovers & 9 smaller pictures.  It also shows a large picture of the chassis & engine & the transmission.  Specs, engine data standard features, optional equipment & dimensions are also covered.  This is an extremely nice piece on this early Land Rover.  It is form #603/C.  Thanks for looking please browse our store.

Audi plans rival to BMW X6, design chief says

Audi will launch a rival to the BMW X6 and may add a challenger to the Bavarian automaker's X4, a top Volkswagen executive told Automotive News Europe. Walter de' Silva, design boss at Audi parent Volkswagen Group, confirmed that Audi has signed off on plans for the X6 rival. He declined to say when the car would arrive.

Chevy Volt will do 230mpg

GM are claiming 230 mpg for the Chevy Volt The premise is that the vast majority of buyers for the Chevy Volt will do no more than 40 miles a day. Which just happens to be the range that the Volt has. So I suppose they could have worked out the cost of the electricity to fully charge the Volt, converted that in to the cost of petrol and come to the conclusion that it does 230mpg.

Chrysler recalls Jeeps for fire risk

Chrysler has decided to recall 2.7 million 1993 to 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002 to 2007 Liberty models for a potential risk relating to the fuel tank placement between the rear bumper and rear axle. The recall is initiated 15 days after the automaker originally denied a request following a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. On June 4, one day after NHTSA's finding, Chrysler rejected the request in a media statement, stating the NHTSA's initial conclusions are based on “incomplete analysis of the underlying data.” Chrysler said the impacted models met or exceeded all applicable requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, including the ones pertaining to fuel system integrity.
