No more Top Gear until 2013, says Jeremy Clarkson
Wed, 09 May 2012No new Top Gear Series until 2013 Top Gear leader Jeremy Clarkson has revealed to South African Sasha Martinengo on Ballz Radio that there won’t be a new series of Top Gear until 2013. Under normal circumstances we’d expect a new series of Top Gear to arrive in the Autumn of 2012. But it seems not.

It includes the horrible neoclassics that plagued the 1970s, and the 1995 revival of the Packard name that attempted to stick a shortened rendition of the famous Packard grille in front of a 440-hp V12, all wrapped in a shape that looked like a melted Twix, as shown above. Yesterday we reported on the Mercedes S250 CDI which manages to perform like a 1990s V8 S-Class whilst simultaneously doing nearly 50mpg. Which to an old git like me – who thought his 3.0 litre Capri in his teen years was doing well if it got 18mpg – is a bit hard to acccept.
