Porsche releases accessories for owners who want to upgrade

Mon, 10 May 2010

Porsche is making it possible for owners of older cars to add some modern- or classic-looking equipment. The wheel's five spokes are painted black with a silver look to the outer rim and the Porsche logo in color on the wheel hub.

The Veyron Super Sport actually hit 267.81mph at VW’s Ehra-Lessian track (it actually hit 269.8mph one way) but because production cars are limited to 258mph the higher speed doesn’t count.

The scientists have come up with a touchscreen steering wheel, which they reckon could replace the humble wheel with stereo and cruise controls.
