This is an original "dry element" air cleaner assembly off a 1960 Ford Galaxie Sunliner with an FE 352, but should also fit other models including 390. This item is in excellent condition for its age with just a few small rubs on the original paint. No dings or scratches to speak of. It has been sitting in a box for several years and ready for a new home! I also have the matching original Ford valve covers so please check that listing if you're interested.

Cash-for-clunkers deal to end Monday night, government says
Thu, 20 Aug 2009The Obama administration plans to cut off dealer funding for the cash-for-clunkers program on Monday at 8 p.m. Eastern, after finding that the $3 billion fund is nearing depletion, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said. "The overriding objective was to be conservative and to provide an adequate window for a soft landing," a senior administration official said in a conference call with reporters Thursday.

'American Nitro' is back!

Director Bill Kimberlin says that he made "American Nitro" in 1979 as a response to Tom Wolfe's influential 1965 essay, "The Kandy-Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamline Baby." "I was just getting out of high school in a small town in Northern California when Wolfe's book came out," he said. "Nitro came about as my response to the car culture I was exposed to in the small valley town of Boonville, Calif. Instead of 'American Graffiti,' I made 'American Nitro.'" A fitting comparison, in fact, considering Kimberlin later worked for George Lucas at ILM, starting with" Return of the Jedi." Now the movie is being released on DVD for the first time -- beware of bootlegs, warns the website -- and digitally remastered, while retaining the explosive charm and goofy narration of the 1979 original.
