1960s CORVAIR HUBCAPS

WE WORK HARD AT IDENTIFYING PARTS.  I BELIEVE THESE ARE EARLY 60s CORVAIR.  I AM NOT SURE IF THEY ARE CAR, VAN OR TRUCK OR ALL. OTHER YEARS AND MODELS MAY APPLY.  THESE HUBCAPS ARE HARD TO FIND YET REASONABLY PRICED.  THEY ARE GOOD CAPS WITH EACH HAVING A COUPLE OF BB TO FINGERPRINT DINGS BOTH INNIES AND OUTIES.  THEY BOTH HAVE SOME LITTLE SURFACE SCRATCHES AS WELL.  MOST OF THESE WOULD POLISH AND ARE PRETTY TYPICAL WITH THIS TYPE OF FINISH. YOU'D BE HARD PRESSED TO SEE  ALOT OF THIS  ONCE ON THE CAR.   ANYWAY, THEY ARE JUST GOOD EXAMPLES FROM A DAY GONE BY THAT WILL SERVE MOST BUYERS WELL.  LOOK AT THE PICTURES CLOSELY TO MAKE SURE THE CAPS ARE RIGHT FOR YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE BIDDING!  PLEASE. ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH 5 AS THE HIGH, I RATE ONE CAP A 3+ AND THE OTHER A 3, BASED ON AGE, RARITY AND CONDITION.  ABOUT 9 INCHES IN DIAMETER.  THEY ARE ALSO ABOUT 2 INCHES IN DEPTH.  WE HAVE SIMILAR CORVAIR CAPS LISTED THAT ARE ABOUT 2 & 1/2 INCHES IN DEPTH.

ONE OTHER COMMENT, WE SPENT A SEVERAL WEEKENDS AT SOME OF THE LARGEST SWAP MEETS IN THE MIDWEST OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS.  HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND NONE OF THESE!  TAKE A CLOSE LOOK.

I try to be honest about what I sell.  Almost all of these old hubcaps have imperfections.  Unless you are willing to spend hundreds for a set the best you can do are look for those in decent shape which these are.

WE SHIP ALL OVER THE WORLD! WE COMBINE SHIPPING ON MULTIPLE ITEMS.

These old car parts are becoming more and more scarce.  After 9 years of selling over a 6000 items we've come to this conclusion.   If we can't sell the parts for a reasonable price, we're going to warehouse them. This is especially true of the nice parts and more unusual parts.  All they can do is go up in value.  Our point is this.  We've got the space and the means to collect and store what we sell.  Having said that don't be surprised if we run an item only once or twice and if it doesn't sell it doesn't show back up.  Please don't misunderstand us.  We want and do appreciate your business.  It just doesn't make sense to us to spend time and money relisting items over and over when almost all of these parts have only one way to go in the future.  UP.

PLEASE NOTE:  DUE TO SEVERAL NON-PAYERS WE HAVE ADDED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT MEANT FOR THOSE TYPE OF BIDDERS.  WHILE THE VAST MAJORITY OF BUYERS PAY FOR WHAT THEY BID ON, WE HAVE RECENTLY SEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN UNPAID ITEMS.  SO>>>IF YOU PLAN ON BIDDING PLEASE PLAN ON PAYING.   THANKS.  HAPPY BIDDING.

Mercedes digs at Jaguar for EATING its Chicken

Mercedes digs at Jaguar for EATING its Chicken Just a few days ago we had a great video from Jaguar poking fun at Mercedes advert for Magic Body Control that featured chickens demonstrating how MBC worked. Jaguar’s response was to mimic Mercedes opening to the video but following it up with Jaguar’s big cat eating Mercedes chickens. It was a great response and we hoped it would signal a nice bit of back and forth between the Germans and the British as they each tried to outdo the other.

Alfa Romeo 4C production version revealed ahead of Geneva debut

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

The production version of the Alfa Romeo 4C has finally been revealed ahead of a launch at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. It’s been clear since December – when Alfa teased the 4C – that we would finally get a proper production version of theĀ firstĀ proper Alfa sports car in as long as we all care to remember. And, as far as we can see, the production Alfa 4C is pretty faithful to the concept.
