FORD DOG DISH HUBCAPS

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE DESCRIPTION AND LOOK AT THE PICTURES CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING. THESE  CAPS ARE GETTING EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND AND REALLY COOL TO DISPLAY IF YOU ARE RUNNING CUSTOM WHEELS.  TWO CAPS ARE INCLUDED.  THESE ARE PRETTY GOOD ORIGINAL HUBCAPS.

ON TO THE DESCRIPTION.  WE TRY TO BE AS HONEST AND COMPLETE IN OUR DESCRIPTIONS AS WE CAN.  NEITHER OF THESE CAPS IS A SHOW CAP IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM.  THESE ARE UNRESTORED CAPS THAT SHOW SOME DETERIORATION.  ONE CAP IS NICER THAN THE OTHER.  BOTH HAVE DINGS AND SCRATCHES, PROBABLY FROM IMPROPER INSTALLATION AND NORMAL WEAR & TEAR.  ONE HAS ALSO BEEN ROUGHLY STEEL WOOLED SO NEEDS SOME POLISHING.  THERE IS ALSO PAINT WEAR.   THEY ARE ROUGHLY 9 & 1/4 INCHES TO 9  AND 1/2 INCHES OVERALL IN DIAMETER.

COOL EXAMPLES FROM A DAY GONE BY.  ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH, 5 AS THE HIGH, BASED ON AGE, RARITY & CONDITION I RATE ONE OF THESE CAPS A 3++, AND ONE A 3.  PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES CLOSELY TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE WHAT YOU WANT AND NEED BEFORE BIDDING.  THANKS!

ONE OTHER COMMENT, WE SPENT A SEVERAL WEEKENDS AT SOME OF THE LARGEST SWAP MEETS IN THE MIDWEST OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS.  HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND NONE OF THESE.  TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THEM.  WE ALSO ATTEND BARRETT JACKSON AND MECUM AUCTIONS REGULARLY. THE POINT IS THIS.  ONLY THE FINEST AND ULTRA EXPENSIVE CARS SEEM TO HAVE PERFECT TRIM.

I try to be honest about what I sell.  Almost all of these old hubcaps have imperfections.  Unless you are willing to spend hundreds for a set the best you can do are look for those in decent shape which these are.

WE SHIP ALL OVER THE WORLD AND COMBINE SHIPPING!

These old car parts are becoming more and more scarce.  After 10 years of selling over a 8000 items we've come to this conclusion.   If we can't sell the parts for a reasonable price, we're going to warehouse them. This is especially true of the nice parts and more unusual parts.  All they can do is go up in value.  Our point is this.  We've got the space and the means to collect and store what we sell.  Having said that don't be surprised if we run an item only once or twice and if it doesn't sell it doesn't show back up.  Please don't misunderstand us.  We want and do appreciate your business.  It just doesn't make sense to us to spend time and money relisting items over and over when almost all of these parts have only one way to go in the future.  UP.

PLEASE NOTE:  DUE TO SEVERAL NON-PAYERS WE HAVE ADDED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT MEANT FOR THOSE TYPE OF BIDDERS.  WHILE THE VAST MAJORITY OF BUYERS PAY FOR WHAT THEY BID ON, WE HAVE RECENTLY SEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN UNPAID ITEMS.  SO>>>IF YOU PLAN ON BIDDING PLEASE PLAN ON PAYING.   THANKS.  HAPPY BIDDING.

New Developments at Bertone

Wed, 19 Aug 2009

Stile Bertone - located in Susa Valley west of Turin, Italy - has seen a series of internal and external changes in the last two years. But even in this global economic crisis the famed design studio is steadfast and committed, remaining vibrant and alive. The most recent development, which occurred on July 28, has seen Lilli Bertone, Nuccio Bertone's widow and President of Bertone, create Bertone Cento as the holding company for both Stile Bertone (design) and Bertonecento R&D (engineering).

Is this the new Lexus RC F Coupe?

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

Is this the new Lexus RC F Coupe? These could be Photoshops based on the Lexus LF-CC – which previewed the new IS – but they do have the feel of being real, and if they are then Lexus is delivering up an RC Coupe that’s pretty faithful to the LF-CC Concept and which promises to be a real competitor for the BMW M3. Under the bonnet of the RC F is expected to be a 5.0 litre V8 delivering around 455bhp and 400lb/ft of torque, complete with cylinder deactivation for more frugal running when you’re not wringing the neck of the V8, and mated to an eight-speed auto ‘box with flappy paddles and three driving modes.

Toyota FT-EV II – it’s the Jetsons!

Tue, 06 Oct 2009

The Toyota FT-EV II Electric city car concept As we reported earlier, Toyota believe electric cars have no future, apart from as short-range, low power city runarounds or as commercial vehicles. So the Toyota FT-EV II is exactly what Toyota believes the EV future is – a small, slow city car. Toyota say of the FT-EV – “… (its) design and technology look to a future society where EVs will be in common use, among a range of different means of transport that will reflect user requirements, the type of energy used and the local energy supply infrastructure”.
