MERCURY FORD DOG DISH HUBCAPS

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE DESCRIPTION AND LOOK AT THE PICTURES CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING. THESE  CAPS ARE GETTING EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND AND REALLY COOL TO DISPLAY IF YOU ARE RUNNING CUSTOM WHEELS.  TWO CAPS ARE INCLUDED.  THESE ARE REALLY NICE ORIGINAL HUBCAPS.  I BELIEVE THESE ARE COMET BUT THEY MAY BE FALCON AND OTHER FOR AS WELL.  YOU DECIDE IF THEY ARE RIGHT FOR YOUR APPLICATION.

ON TO THE DESCRIPTION.  WE TRY TO BE AS HONEST AND COMPLETE IN OUR DESCRIPTIONS AS WE CAN.   THESE ARE UNRESTORED CAPS THAT SHOW LITTLE DETERIORATION.  OTHER THAN A LITTLE PAINT WEAR AND A COUPLE OF TINY DINGS THEY ARE ABOUT AS GOOD OF ORIGINAL CAPS YOU WILL FIND.  EACH CAP HAS A BB DING OR TWO AND A COUPLE OF TINY OF SCRATCHES, PROBABLY FROM A SCREWDRIVER.  ONE OF THE TWO HAS A TINY TINY LITTLE CIRCULAR RUB RIGHT AT THE POINT IN THE CENTER BUT HONESTLY YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO NOTICE IT.  THEY ARE JUST REALLY GOOD ORIGINAL EXAMPLES THAT WOULD SERVE MOST OWNERS WELL.    THEY ARE ROUGHLY 9 & 1/4 INCHES TO 9 & 1/2  INCHES OVERALL IN DIAMETER.

COOL EXAMPLES FROM A DAY GONE BY.  ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH, 5 AS THE HIGH, BASED ON AGE, RARITY & CONDITION I RATE  THESE CAPS A 4, OVERALL.  PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES CLOSELY TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE WHAT YOU WANT AND NEED BEFORE BIDDING.  THANKS!

ONE OTHER COMMENT, WE SPENT A SEVERAL WEEKENDS AT SOME OF THE LARGEST SWAP MEETS IN THE MIDWEST OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS.  HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND NONE OF THESE.  TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THEM.  WE ALSO ATTEND BARRETT JACKSON AND MECUM AUCTIONS REGULARLY. THE POINT IS THIS.  ONLY THE FINEST AND ULTRA EXPENSIVE CARS SEEM TO HAVE PERFECT TRIM.

I try to be honest about what I sell.  Almost all of these old hubcaps have imperfections.  Unless you are willing to spend hundreds for a set the best you can do are look for those in decent shape which these are.

WE SHIP ALL OVER THE WORLD AND COMBINE SHIPPING!

These old car parts are becoming more and more scarce.  After 9 years of selling over a 7000 items we've come to this conclusion.   If we can't sell the parts for a reasonable price, we're going to warehouse them. This is especially true of the nice parts and more unusual parts.  All they can do is go up in value.  Our point is this.  We've got the space and the means to collect and store what we sell.  Having said that don't be surprised if we run an item only once or twice and if it doesn't sell it doesn't show back up.  Please don't misunderstand us.  We want and do appreciate your business.  It just doesn't make sense to us to spend time and money relisting items over and over when almost all of these parts have only one way to go in the future.  UP.

PLEASE NOTE:  DUE TO SEVERAL NON-PAYERS WE HAVE ADDED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT MEANT FOR THOSE TYPE OF BIDDERS.  WHILE THE VAST MAJORITY OF BUYERS PAY FOR WHAT THEY BID ON, WE HAVE RECENTLY SEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN UNPAID ITEMS.  SO>>>IF YOU PLAN ON BIDDING PLEASE PLAN ON PAYING.   THANKS.  HAPPY BIDDING.

Groupon vouchers for cars? No

Mon, 18 Jul 2011

The Groupon juggernaut rolled into auto retailing last week, and dealers around the nation watched intently to see whether the online coupon phenomenon could drive herds of shoppers into showrooms. So far, no. Only four consumers agreed to pay $200 for a $500 discount voucher on a new-vehicle purchase at LaFontaine Buick-GMC-Cadillac in Highland, Mich.

Tunnels get F1 ace Räikkönen buzzing

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

FERRARI's Formula One aces Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen put pleasure before business at the Belgian Grand Prix weekend, taking to a specially-made track in a hyper-exclusive 458 Speciale in a test of driving excitement. The stars travelled down the road from the famous Spa circuit to an event hosted by Shell, Ferrari's fuels and lubricants partner, where a 1.2km circuit built for excitement had been put together, featuring a tunnel full of laser lighting, a simulated winter corner with authentic whirling snow, and an F1-style starting grid. The tunnel flicked Kimi's switch more than any other part of the track, with the telemetry showing a spike in excitement levels as he hit the power through the multi-coloured lasers and smoke.

One Lap of the Web: New Zonda, Euro-spec Porsches and a Gordini R17

Tue, 03 Jun 2014

-- The Pagani Zonda just refuses to die. World Car Fans is reporting the company is working on the Zonda X, based on the 760LM version. Like the 760LM, power is expected to come from a 7.3-liter AMG V12, and some sort of sequential gearbox.
