1961 1962 Chevy Impala Cruise Control Kit For Big Block, Std Or Auto Tranny on 2040-parts.com
Hanover, Ontario, Canada
GM first introduced cruise control in its Chevy Line-up in either late 1959 or early 1960 as a dealer installed or factory option. Since I have a near identical cruise set-up installed in my '61 Impala, I can guarantee you how well, smooth & efficient this technology works. I assure you it is simply not for show. You are bidding on a part original, part reproduced... complete & ready to install, 1961 & 1962 Chevrolet, Impala, Biscayne, Bel Air, SS, cruise control Kit which were originally produced by GM/Perfect Circle. This Kit is complete for the BIG BLOCK V8 engine 348, 409 Please note the generator mounting bracket, the throttle rod, and the Regulator or "brain" mounting brackets are very different from the small block, 283 engine. The two regulator or "brain" mounting brackets were cast using bronze. I have lightly filed them, however for show quality they could be cadmium plated, or...... you could polish, chrome or simply paint them. The interior cruise controller or housing assembly was cast in aluminum & it could be highly polished to a chrome-like finish or simply painted to match the interior of your car. You may want to have the reproduced controller nut, button & escutcheon chromed as well. For perfection, these pieces may require further sanding & polishing. The control switch is a NOS original and the dial is NOS from a 1963 controller. The generator bracket and the throttle rod were reproduced by professional machine shops using NOS originals as a pattern. The wiring harness is a reproduction (automatic tranny only). If you have a standard transmission please let me know.....as I now have the correct reproduced harness. Two of the three cables were reproduced by a professional cable shop. The controller to the regulator cable is a used original. You will also receive complete installation instructions for this Kit along with the necessary template in order to drill the hole in your dash..... Please note the Regulator or "brain" had been installed on my own car.....road tested & found to be in good working condition. You will not be disappointed. Full refund if not 100% satisfied! Shipping to anywhere within the continental USA will be a flat $69.00...... anywhere else including International Shipping will be more..... please contact me for a shipping quote. 2012 Lamborghini Aventador completes a mad trio of supercars headed to market
Thu, 19 May 2011If you thought the struggling global economy or high fuel prices might be hurting the world's supply of top-notch supercars, think again. Since March, AutoWeek editors have taken the wheel of not one, not two, but three of the most insane superperformers on the planet: the McLaren MP4-12C, the Ferrari FF, and most recently, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. We see a few common threads: lots of lightweight aluminum and carbon-fiber materials, engines punching out more than 590 hp, automated-manual gearboxes, and prices that put them up against the average price of a three-bedroom home in most markets.
