1961,1962 Chevy Impala Cruise Control Kit For Small Block, Std Or Auto Tranny on 2040-parts.com
Hanover, Ontario, Canada
GM first introduced cruise control in its Chevy Line-up in either late 1959 or early 1960 as a dealer installed or factory option. Since I have a near identical cruise set-up installed in my '61 Impala, I can guarantee you how well, smooth & efficient this technology works. I assure you it is simply not for show. You are bidding on a part original, part reproduced complete & ready to install, 1961 & 1962 Chevrolet, Impala, Biscayne, Bel Air, SS, cruise control Kit which were originally produced by GM/Perfect Circle. This Kit is for the small block V8 engine, 283, 327. Please note the generator mounting bracket, the throttle rod & the Regulator or "Brain" mounting brackets are very different for the small block & big block engines. The regulator or "brain" mounting brackets were cast using bronze. I have lightly filed them, however for show quality they could be cadmium plated, or...... you could polish, chrome or simply paint them. The interior cruise controller or housing assembly was cast in aluminum & it could be highly polished to a chrome-like finish or simply painted to match the interior of your car. You may want to have the reproduced controller nut, button & escutcheon chromed as well. For perfection, these pieces may require further sanding & polishing. The dial is a NOS original from a 1963 controller. The generator bracket and the throttle rod were reproduced by professional machine shops using NOS originals as a pattern. The wiring harness is a reproduction (automatic tranny only). If you have a standard transmission please let me know as I now have the correct reproduction harness. Two of the three cables were reproduced by a professional cable shop. The controller to the regulator cable is a used original. You will also receive complete installation instructions for this Kit along with the necessary template in order to drill the hole in your dash..... Please note the Regulator or "brain" had been installed on my own car.....road tested & found to be in good working condition. You will not be disappointed. Full refund if not 100% satisfied! Shipping to anywhere within the continental USA will be a flat $69.00...... anywhere else including International Shipping will be more..... please contact me for a shipping quote. Thanks for looking. |

2012 Mercedes GLK Facelift – but still no GLK for the UK
Thu, 22 Mar 20122012 Mercedes GLK Facelift - but not for the UK A facelift for 2012 on the Mercedes GLK SUV is due to debut at the New York Auto Show in April, but the UK still won’t get the GLK. Mercedes’ answer to cars like the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 – the Mercedes GLK – is to get a facelift for 2012 and some tweaks to the oily bits for 2012, but Mercedes still don’t think it worth their while building a RHD version for the UK. In fact, despite expectations that Mercedes would at least deliver a RWD version of the GLK to RHD markets it now seems that won’t happen until the all new GLK arrives in a few years time.
Suzuki Swift Sport advert banned for being too ‘Hot’ +video
Tue, 17 Apr 2012Suzuki Swift Sport Advert gets banned in Australia The Australian Advertising Board has banned a TV advert for the new Suzuki Swift Sport because it looks too much fun. There are few things in life you can rely on, but the Suzuki Swift Sport being bags of fun for the money is one. Another, we always thought, was the easy-going, laid-back attitude to life that makes Australians so endearing.
CARS 2: The Queen & Prince Wheeliam
Sat, 30 Apr 2011Prince Wheeliam - in a Bentley Continental? It’s one of those weekends where Royal stories will abound, so it made a bit of sense – to us at least – to make mention of the Royal and London connections in the upcoming Disney Pixar sequel – CARS 2. Topically – there’s a surprise – we have a Prince Wheeliam, which appears to be Bentley Continental GT-esque (who decided that, we wonder?) and The Queen seems to be a regal Rolls Phantom with a Crown on her roof.
