For sale a rear brake drum for a 1961, 1962, 1963, and 1964 full-sized Ford. This will probably also work on Mercury from this era. This was the only design in 1961 and 1962, and in 1963 and 1964 Ford offered a second brake drum that was a little bigger (5" total depth) with a flared cross-ribbed base (I assume for 15" wheels). This is the standard 11 1/32 inner diameter non-flared rear brake drum for use with 11" x 2 1/2" standard brakes and 14" wheels. The total depth is about 3 5/8".

The outside has been painted the correct semi-gloss chassis black. The inside has been cleaned up, but still shows previous use. Please see the pictures. This is an original FoMoCo piece, NOT a reproduction.

Chevy and GMC pickup trucks pile up on dealer lots

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

General Motors entered December with bloated inventories reminiscent of its prebankruptcy days-and its lowest market share in 90 years. GM will try to fix both problems in a hurry. Dealers say the company has begun rolling out bigger discounts on many models, including the redesigned Chevrolet Malibu sedan and GM's full-sized pickups.

Geneva Motor Show 2007 Trends and Overview

Wed, 28 Mar 2007

Geneva is always one of the best shows to visit - it's easy to get to from the airport or city centre, it's more compact than the other major auto shows, it's well attended by car designers and there are a lot of new designs to enjoy. This year there were at least 14 significant new production debuts, a similar number of concept cars and, for a change, the weather was more spring like than winter... The core reaction from the designers we spoke to at the show was that there were no really very exceptional new cars at the show - the Hyundai HED-4 Qarmaq concept, Mazda Hakaze concept and Maserati GranTurismo being the possible exceptions.

A Night at the Movies with Alex Xydias

Tue, 22 Apr 2014

“I started shooting movies when I stopped racing,” said original hot rod hero Alex Xydias. “When I had enough stuff I made this.” “This” is "The Hot Rod Story," a documentary shot by the man himself from about 1962 to 1964 at the drag strips, dry lakes and cruise-ins of the day. It's a movie shot in the style of, say, a Bruce Brown surf movie or a Warren Miller ski movie.
