Car Deisgn Awards China 2014 winners announced

The winners of this year's Car Design Awards China have been announced during a dazzling ceremony held at the Global Vehicle Architecture (GVA) design studio in Beijing. The Awards, hosted by Chris Bangle, were presented to an audience of around 350 global design professionals. The work of all finalists' projects was on display, giving a superb opportunity for these up-and-coming young designers to discuss their work and future careers with prospective employers.

Skoda trio voted 'best in Britain'

BRITISH drivers are happier with their cars than ever before, especially if they own a Skoda. According to new figures collected by Auto Express magazine's annual Driver Power survey, the average satisfaction rating for a car in the top 100 was a huge 88.36%, which equates to a 7% rise since the survey’s launch in 2002. Fritz Henderson removed as GM CEO

General Motors' board of directors ousted CEO Fritz Henderson after eight months, saying it wanted to chart a new course as the biggest U.S. automaker pushes ahead with its restructuring. Chairman Ed Whitacre, 68, will succeed Henderson on an interim basis while a search for a new president and CEO starts immediately, Whitacre said at a press conference on Tuesday.
