1961 BUICK INVICTA CUSTOM CENTER FLOOR CONSOLE FOR BUCKET SEAT CARS. THE MATERIAL ON THE BOX APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL AND I AM NOT SURE IF THE TOP MATERIAL IS OR NOT. THE CARPET INSIDE THE BOX APPEARS TO BE THE ORIGINAL ANGEL HAIR WITH THE SILVER THREAD WOVEN INTO IT. THE PLASTIC LID CUP HOLDER IS NOT BROKEN AS IS MOST OF THEM BUT IT IS CRACKED AT THE SCREWS, PLEASE INSPECT CLOSELY. THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY HAS THE SWITCH AND LIGHT SOCKET WITH ORIGINAL WIRE AND PLUGS BUT NO LENS. THE HINGE HAS SOME MINOR CORROSION.

As you may well have guessed, this is another car maker rolling out the usual low rolling resistance, lowered suspension, gear-change-light, steel wheels version of their regular runaround to create a car that magically dips below 100g/km CO2. Of course it’s completely disingenuous, because unless you drive like you’re carrying the last live eggs of the Dodo all the time you won’t get the CO2 levels quoted, and nor will you get the headline economy.

We had a tease for the all new Volvo V40 back in December (actually, there has been another since, but it was nothing but a black shape so we ignored it) and we’ve had spy video of the V40 too (although we still thought it would be the V30 then). And now we get what is almost certainly the first photos of the Volvo V40 that will debut at Geneva.
