Here is a bare block for a 1961 Corvette 283. It was cast March 1st, '61 and was assembled July 10th, '61. There is only a "C" for the suffix code. The cylinders are standard bore. There appears to be no issues or repairs. It has been magnafluxed OK.

At its heart, the 450kg RP1 has a unique carbon-composite tub based on the designs of contemporary race cars. The driver will sit 'feet up', allowing for greater underfloor downforce, which goes some way to explaining how the car achieves a quoted 200kg of downforce at 100mph.
