Front bumper with center section and mounting brackets. This is a standard two piece bumper bolted together at center and divided by a center bracket. All hardware complete. In general, the chrome is in good shape except for some rust at bottom side. Backside has some rust but not deep. There are a couple of dents on the driver side of bumper and a couple of minor dings on the passenger side. Some careful metal work could make this a decent looking bumper but for restoration, it should be redone by an expert and re-chromed. For shipping, to minimize size for shipping, I will unbolt the center section and ship in two pieces. Bumper is located in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Could ship from Orange County CA. Guggenheim to auction BMW M1 art car
Fri, 13 May 2011The Guggenheim Museum in New York is selling an original BMW M1 art car to raise funds and to make way for other exhibits. Frank Stella painted the Bavarian supercar in 1979, and it has been part of the Guggenheim collection since 1999. BMW has commissioned many art cars since the program launched in 1975, including another M1 by Andy Warhol and a 3.0 CSL also by Stella.

All of the concept’s real, from its suicide rear doors through to its 20-inch wheels, but don’t expect much of this to translate onto the production car. The fancy doors and big rims will disappear, but the real thing will still have the muscular yet curvaceous lines of the Qazana concept.
