Rubicon, Wisconsin, United States
Bare stripped engine block. Needs complete rebuild.
Warranty:No Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

Myself and a couple of friends are helping a famed Pontiac engine builder (Dan Whitmore) go thru a vast inventory of used engine blocks, cylinder heads, intake manifolds etc...that he has acquired while rebuilding engines for the last 40+ years. Most of the items are Pontiac but there is some Chevy and misc. items as well. So keep posted as we will be listing more items over the next several weeks to few months as we are able to sort thru everything. Up for sale pictured with the hanging tag on it is a 1961 Pontiac 389 engine block with 4 bolt main caps. M4 code. No pistons, crank, rods etc..just the bare block with the main caps. The block is still standard bore and completely rebuildable. No cracks etc...any questions please ask. I might need some time to get your answer as the parts are not at my house and I would have to make a phone call etc...Prefer local pick up but it is possible for us to attach it to a skid and ship it etc...ask for a quote. Sold as is. Please pay with in 5 days of the auction ending. Thanks for looking!

McLaren P1 concept

Tue, 18 Sep 2012

The McLaren P1 concept – the company's flagship hypercar model – will make its world debut at the Paris motor show next week ahead of the production model some time next year. These first images reveal an exterior that's more expressive in its surfacing and graphics than the existing MP4-12C, with a particular motif made of McLaren's 'tick' logo through the DRG. Its bodywork also appears to be layered over the underlying carbon structure that appears around the nose, rear and door panel, which hint at the diagonal bar that ran through the F1's doors, although here it dives downwards rather than creating a wedge.

Fiat 500 gets Stop-Start

Fri, 06 Feb 2009

Flavour of the month, stop-start, and here’s another to add to the list. The Fiat 500 gets Start&Stop (I’ve lost count of the different monikers) as an option on the 1.2 Lounge, using Bosch technology to beef up the system to make it reliable. The Stop/Start also gets another Fiat moniker – Blue&Me – which gives the driver EcoDrive to aid emissions and adds hands-free phone and an entertainment system.

Peugeot 2008: Official

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

The crossover / SUV version of the new Peugeot 208 – the Peugeot 2008 – has been revealed officially by Peugeot ahead of a Geneva 2013 debut. But the first official details from Peugeot of the production version of the 2008 tell us nothing more than we reported on Saturday when we got the first photos. Peugeot are long on how they’ve drawn on the 3008 Crossover (a better car than you’d expect) to create a B Segment Crossover that will take the fight to everything from the Countryman to the Juke, but very short on any real detail.
