THIS IS A MATCHED SET OF '61 BONNEVILLE AND STAR CHIEF TAILLIGHT LENSES (LAURENTIAN & STRATO CHIEF IN CANADA, I BELIEVE).  THEY ARE NEW IN THE BOXES, AND IN PERFECT SHAPE.  THE SET OF LENSES TO THE LEFT ARE IDENTICAL TO EACH OTHER, WITH A SLIGHT TILT (CLOCKING) TO THE INSIDE OF THE CAR (SEE THE 4TH PHOTO).  THEY ARE GLO-BRITE #765 LENSES.  THE ONES ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THESE CARS ARE #766, AND ALSO TILT TO THE INSIDE OF THE CAR.  THEY ARE ALREADY BOXED (6 SMALL BOXES CUSHIONED IN ONE LARGER BOX) AND READY TO SHIP.  THESE HAVE BEEN STORED PROPERLY, OUT OF THE HEAT, SUN AND DAMPNESS.  IT IS VERY HARD TO FIND A COMPLETE SET OF #765 AND #766 TAIL LIGHTS, ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION.  HERE IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY.  THE INTRINSIC VALUE OF THESE LAMPS IS NOT REFLECTED IN THE PRICE.  FOR LESS THAN $25 A PIECE, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR '61 PONTIAC LOOK NEW AGAIN (AND SPARKLE!).  THESE ARE VERY HIGH QUALITY, AND COMPARABLE TO THE GUIDE OEM SET.  THEY EACH COME WITH A CHROME BAR FASTENED FROM THE INSIDE WITH A PHILLIPS SCREW.

SHIPPING/PACKING:  INSURANCE HAS ALREADY BEEN ADDED TO SHIPPING QUOTE.   IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME AT ANYTIME: 6one9-442-2800.  PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE IF I CAN'T GET TO THE PHONE!  THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR INTEREST & COOPERATION...

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:  WELCOME!  IF THE SHPG QUOTE SEEMS A LITTLE HIGH, PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING.  IT TAKES ME QUITE A BIT OF EXTRA TIME TO SEND A PKG OUT OF THE U.S.; A VERY NOMINAL HNDLG CHARGE’S BEEN ADDED.  I WILL SEND PHOTOS OF PACKAGING DETAIL (IF REQUESTED).

LAYAWAY OPTION & PAYMENT TERMS:  YOU MUST MAKE A PAYMENT FOR THIS ITEM (at least 50% down) WITHIN 48 HOURS.  I WILL ALLOW UP TO 30 DAYS (90 days, if pre-arranged) FOR THE BALANCE DUE TO BE PAID.  Thank you for your cooperation...

FEEDBACK:  MY REWARD IS THE SATISFACTION OF HAPPY BUYERS, AND MY GOAL IS TO ACHEIVE 5 STAR RATINGS.  IF THERE IS ANY DELAY IN SHPMT, PLEASE CONSIDER HOW WELL I PKGD THE ITEM(S).  I’VE BEEN KNOWN TO DOUBLE-BOX, USE DOUBLE-WALL BOXES, & WRAP THINGS 3 DIFFERENT WAYS.  IN 34 YRS OF SHPG, I’VE RARELY EVER HAD A DAMAGED SHPMT!

FYI:  IN 2011, I DONATED ALMOST HALF OF MY YEAR’S EBAY SALES RECEIPTS TO THE JAPAN EARTHQUAKE & TSUNAMI RELIEF FUND…

This day in Autoweek history: The 1976 Chevrolet Chevette

Wed, 21 Sep 2011

Today in Autoweek history, we look back to the week of September 20, 1975, when Corey Farley gave us a look at the new 1976 Chevrolet Chevette. The B-segment (for 1976, anyway) newcomer weighed in at a scant 1,998 pounds and carried an equally lightweight MSRP of $2,899. Farley described how the Chevette handled some of the rigors of testing, which included hauling four journalists and their camera equipment around the Black Lake testing facility in Milford, Mich.

New Renault Clio arrives

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

The new Renault Clio has been revealed ahead of a debut at the Paris Motor Show with a new look and five doors. Although it’s still based on the underpinnings of the current Clio, the new Renault Clio is a lot more than a facelift of the current car. For a start, it comes as a five door only, with the back door handles hidden so it looks like a three door, and gets a bold new style that’s been influenced by the Renault DeZir Concept with a new corporate nose featuring a big front grill and Renault badge and big, swoopy crease lines down the doors.

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

- More than 80 unique cars are trucks have just finished Rally New England, traveling 1,300 miles through the northeast, all for a good cause. Hooniverse's Robby DeGraff took part in the rally as part of a film crew, and shares his journey with readers. The rally ran from Ithaca, N.Y., to Saint John, New Brunswick, and raised money for Camp Sunshine, an organization that invites children with life-threatening diseases and their families to have fun at camp for a week for free.
