Ford unveils Mustang 50th anniversary logo

Ford is gearing up for a year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Mustang in 2014, and revealed a logo Tuesday to be used on fan merchandise. The anniversary logo uses the traditional galloping pony in silhouette, placed above the words “50 years.” Ford designer Michael Thompson is credited with creating the anniversary logo. The logo will either be white on a black background or black on white, Ford says.

Renault has given the Twizy electric car a mad twist by bolting on an F1-style KERS system for Megane Renaultsport 265-worrying performance available for the very brave. The Twizy Renault Sport F1 Concept sits on single seater racing wheels, has an F1-apeing front splitter, side-pods, rear wing and even a rear diffuser to make the link to the racing side of Renault’s activities. 2014 Kia Forte sedan pricing set at $16,700

UPDATED: The base 2014 Kia Forte sedan will cost $16,700 including destination when it goes on sale next month, fitting slightly below its compact competitors. Kia is touting the 2014 Forte as the least expensive in its class, and the compact sedan does in fact cost $80 less than the redesigned 2013 Nissan Sentra at $16,780, $90 less than the new 2013 Dodge Dart at $16,790 and $225 less than the 2013 Ford Focus sedan at $16,995. The new price is a slight increase from the 2013 model, which cost $16,175 after shipping charges.
