L’argus Student Competition 2009

French magazine L'argus de l'automobile has announced the winners of its seventh Student Competition Awards, themed ‘Automobile Design for Social Utility'. Open to students studying design within the European Union and Switzerland, the competition culminated at a recent awards ceremony at the Eiffel Tower. The first prize of €3000 and an internship at Renault's Technocentre in Guyancourt (near Paris) went to Damien Grossemy, Thibaut Dereymacker and Maxime Dimarco from the Institut Supérieur de Design in Valenciennes, France.

Porsche recalls GT3 for fire risk

Porsche is telling 2014 911 GT3 owners to park their cars until the company can check them out for engine problems that could cause a fire. Porsche says it will pick the vehicles up and take them to a Porsche Center immediately, and that safety is its immediate concern. Two vehicles in Europe caught fire after engine damage occurred, so Porsche decided to inspect all 785 vehicles delivered worldwide.

Aston Martin and Zagato team up for new car

Aston Martin and Italian design firm Zagato are joining forces to craft a modern car that recalls the iconic DB4GT Zagato from 50 years ago. Aston Martin says the car is set to debut at the Villa D'Este Concours on Lake Como in Italy on May 21. A racing debut will happen later in the month at the 24-hour race at the N
