2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 spied
Mon, 23 Sep 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is heading to dealerships now, which means it's a perfect time to start salivating over the prospect of an even more extreme take on an American classic: The 2015 Corvette Z06. These spy photos give us a hint at what to expect when Chevy gets around to announcing the car. From the look of it, the next Z06, which some sources suggest may be called the Z07, will be even meaner looking than the base Stingray.
Italdesign Tex concept
Thu, 17 Mar 2011The second concept from Volkswagen's recently acquired Italdesign was the Tex. A research study into the potential future design language of the German brand, the Tex also draws on existing technologies from Wolfsburg. Utilizing the 'twin drive' plug-in hybrid system, the Tex is capable of a range of 35 kilometers in electric mode, a range Giugiaro claims is ample enough for day-to-day commuting. Adopting a sporting pretense, the Tex is low slung, sitting atop large 19-inch diameter wheels and sports an aggressive DRG.
Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid (2013) will cost £50k
Tue, 13 Dec 2011Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid will cost £50k The Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid will start production in 2012 with 1,000 cars, each likely to cost around £50,000. We really like the Volvo V60, and despite our general antipathy towards hybrid platforms – particularly in smaller cars – we also really like the idea of the Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid. With its 4WD – thanks to something Volvo call ERAD (Electric Rear Axle Drive) – and 2.4 litre diesel working with an electric motor producing 70 horses, the V60 plug-in can offer the best of both worlds – economy and performance – albeit at a price.
