1963 - 1967 Corvette Bumper Cores, Fronts And Rears, Originals, 76 Total on 2040-parts.com
Springfield, Nebraska, United States
For sale: Collection of C2, Corvette Bumpers: 15 Left Front, 21 Right Front, 18 Left Rear, and 22 Right Rear (76 total). These are being sold as one package. I will not separate. I am obviously looking for those that restore/rechrome bumpers or have a Corvette restoration shop. They are the remains of several Corvette Salvage Yards here in the Midwest that are no longer in business. There are no Chinese bumpers in this pile. See my other listing for C3 bumpers. Condition: Very Important to Understand. These bumpers are CORES. In my opinion, there are no driver quality bumpers in this pile. Some are bent, many are corroded (including holes), some have holes drilled in them, some have bolts twisted off, and some have some sort of combination of these issues. Companies like the Bumper Boyz in California can save these bumpers and return them to show condition. But, do not expect to simply send them to the neighborhood chrome shop unless they normally straighten and weld bumpers. Price: Let's say you will simply throw away six of these cores. So I am asking $45 each for 70 of them ($3,150) plus shipping. The companies that sell restored bumpers require a $100 - $150 core charge. Now, I am not saying that all of those companies will accept all of these cores. I just don't know. Shipping: It would be best if they were picked up here in Nebraska (near Omaha). I get a serious discount from UPS Freight and can get you a quote from them. And, if paid for in advance, I will deliver free of charge to the Bloomington Gold Corvette Swap Meet in Indy that starts June 23.

Tue, 14 Aug 2012With the Jaguar F-Type close to launch at the Paris Motor Show, Jaguar has released a new video extolling its performance potential. Although we’ve been looking at the Jaguar F-Type Roadster (albeit with a black and white camouflage paint job) since April, it doesn’t officially arrive until Paris next month. But Jaguar has learnt that the Interwebs like a constant drip of new information on hotly anticipated cars, so they’ve dropped a new video for the F-Type focussing on its performance.

Concept Car of the Week: Honda Kiwami (2003)
Fri, 11 Apr 2014As part of Honda's exploration into new, clean-performing technologies, the Kiwami concept was created to test public acceptance of the idea of a large, fuel cell-powered luxury sedan. Unveiled in 2003, the simple yet striking design seemed like a Japanese twist on the Renault Vel Satis concept, which shared a similar wedge profile, wide stance and minimalist approach. However, the Kiwami found its own interpretation of modern luxury, expressed through elegantly integrated technology rather than with crystal champagne glasses. Up front, a full-width LED strip headlamp sat flush with the flat bonnet and the rectangular bumper to create a design of primitive beauty. Further examples of the same simple Japanese aesthetic are found around the car, including the uncluttered body panels and a full-width tail-lamp graphic that matched the front theme. The dramatic proportions of the interior were closely related to the package of the hydrogen power plant. Unlike other manufacturers at the time, Honda engineers did not create a 'skateboard' fuel cell chassis below the cabin. Instead, a sideways H-shaped layout for the control unit, ultracapacitor, fuel cell stack, hydrogen storage and other components was used, helping to create a lower center of gravity.
