Lamborghini Aventador hits 1,000

The boys (and girls) in Bologna re celebrating the production of 1,000 Lamborghini Aventadors, just 15 months after production started. Italy has no money, and nor does most of Europe, but Supercars still sell even when they have a list price of £253,000 – and at a greater rate than ever before. That’s been brought sharply in to focus with the new that Lamborghini has delivered the 1,000th Aventador just 15 months after production started in Sant’ Agata – just half the time it took to sell the first 1,000 Murcielagos.

Nissan Townpod concept preview

Nissan has just released this image of its new Townpod concept, which offers insight into how the brand could expand its portfolio of zero-emission vehicles. It will be displayed at the Paris motor show.  Designed to offer zero-emissions mobility to a future generation of home-based, innovative entrepreneurs who are creative and tech-savvy, the Townpod "combines eye-catching design with a spacious and practical interior," Nissan says. "[It's] more than just a car and it's more than just a van – it heralds a new-era of flexible, stylish vehicles that will bring electric-vehicle mobility to the masses." Acura ZDX concept (w/ Gallery)

Designed to break new ground for Acura in the areas of provocative styling, contemporary luxury and meticulous refinement, the ZDX concept previews an imminent coupe-crossover set to take on the BMW X6. Clean, flowing lines start from the headlights and run the length of the car, accentuating the car's presence and grace. In keeping with the coupe-inspired styling, the rear door handles are concealed in the C-pillar.
