1963-1975 Buick Skylark LeSabre Electra Riviera NOS litter basket 980668

Product Description

NOS genuine GM Buick Factory Accessory litter container, part number 980668.

This was based on an existing litter basket, which had previously been available since 1961, but only in black. Buick introduced colors (blue, red and green) for the 1963 model year, and was used on Special, Skylark, LeSabre, Invicta, Wildcat, Electra and Riviera. For cars with bucket seats, it could have been placed in the back seat area.

This part number continued on in the Buick parts books all the way through part of the 1975 model year, when it was superseded by part number 994477 in January 1975.

For 1964 - 1975, it was used in Special, Skylark, Gran Sport (GS, GS350, GS400, GS455, GSX), Century, Regal, Apollo, LeSabre, Wildcat, Centurion, Electra, Riviera and Estate Wagon.

Didn't come in a box, but the wrapper around it is still here, and it was in a clear plastic bag when it left the dealership, as these were available to the dealerships in bulk quantities, so I assume if ordered that way, it wouldn't have a box.

Some aging and cracking on the bottom, but not to the extent where it's going to break and "spill the beans".

Shipping - Payment

A few words to make things easier.

1. Combined shipping for multiple auctions is always available, but when the auction is over, you will have to wait until I revise things in my eBay "paperwork" to create just one invoice for all your purchased auctions.  And I have to do the revising BEFORE you pay.  If auctions are paid separately (i.e. before you receive my invoice combining items), eBay will no longer then let me combine them on one invoice.  AND, eBay then automatically charges you separate shipping charges for each item, which is not refunded.  Again, this is eBay's set-up.  Combining auctions benefits you by saving you shipping and handling fees.

2. Payment is expected within 3 days.  After 8 days, I will file with eBay to have my auction fees refunded.  If there is a problem with 3 days, please let me know, as I am not unreasonable, and I know that things happen.  Just be aware that having been on eBay full-time for several years has already afforded me an opportunity to hear a lot of "creative" stories.

Thanks for your bid.

David Brown Automotive’s new car teased – it’s a re-skinned Jaguar XKR

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

David Brown’s new car teased ahead of an April reveal Just a few weeks ago we learnt that a new garden shed maker of luxury sports cars is about to bow in to the competitive market place for bespoke, high-end cars as David Brown Automotive revealed their plans for a new car. All we really learnt with that first news – apart from the fact it brought an iconic Automotive name back in to the car world (although it’s a different David Brown) – is that David Brown Automotive were planning a luxury sport car in the classic mould. Now, ahead of a public debut of ‘Project Judi’ at Monaco’s Top Marques Show in April, David Brown has revealed that their new car will basically be a Jaguar XKR with a bespoke and original interior and exterior.

Car makers to be forced to disclaim ‘Official’ economy figures

Wed, 10 Apr 2013

We’ve banged on for a long time about the futility of official economy figures, especially as car makers get better and better at ‘gaming’ the official economy tests to produce the results they want. Much of the impetus to create the best headline economy figure for a car is driven by taxation, with car makers well aware that the better the official economy results are, the lower their CO2 will be (CO2 isn’t tested for – it’s just extrapolated from the official mpg) and the more appealing the car will be to buyers, particularly fleet buyers. But a ruling by the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) against Audi could at least see car makers having to admit in their adverts that the ‘official’ economy figure bears no relation to what owners can expect to achieve in the real world.
